 It just goes to show you, you really can't get drunk off praise. You go from fighting for a starting job to at the bottom of the [depth chart] again. It's frustrating, it's tough, but I can't really control it. I just had another unfortunate injury and you just have to keep fighting.

 You don't coach to win necessarily. You'd like to win, but you need to see most of your players, especially the ones competing for starting positions. This is the start of evaluation for next fall. We'll establish a depth chart starting now.

 Guys are starting to separate themselves on the depth chart. I've liked the intensity. Guys are really starting to understand what they need to do, how to compete.

 I think it's opened our minds to a lot of new ways to train, and I think it's really showing that we are in great shape, probably better shape than we have been in at this point in the season ever. It's still a lot of hard work, but I think we are all starting to kind of begin to believe in his style of coaching.

 We don't have a depth chart, but he'll probably just end up going like we always go ? go first, take snaps, work on it.

 Cedric doesn't have all the offensive package down yet. There's the starting spot, and we'll try to work him in from there.

 Certainly, to have three catchers at the upper end of the depth chart and under our control for a few years, that's something that can help us win right now. But it also can be an asset if you want to make a trade, as we've seen with our left-handed pitching. I don't know where our catching depth ranks in baseball, but we're happy with it.

 You see the explosiveness in his bat, but then last year, you see things that he is going to have to work on to hit Major League pitching. And that is going to take experience, but this guy can swing it. He is approaching our depth chart. But for him to help us as we break camp would be a stretch, but we're open to anything. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

 All of them are depth for us, from a starting standpoint. You need to have multiple starting pitchers for depth, and we feel we have that with those guys.
