 Most shares in listed companies in China are State-owned and individual managers, no matter how well they ran their companies, could not own these shares. A lack of rewards has been a major cause of bad corporate governance.

 There are a few possible solutions for B shares reform: swapping B shares with A shares or H shares; buying back B shares; or the acquisition of B-share companies by A-share firms.

 Companies that rely on overseas demand may drive shares higher. Strong earnings results by U.S. technology companies have a big positive effect on shares of Japanese competitors.

 There were probably three times as many companies using N shares in the past compared with those left today. And I believe the market showed its disapproval through the discount that N shares have historically traded at against ordinary shares. At the end of the day it's all about how a company performs.

 I think fund companies figured out after Peter Lynch and Michael Price retired that there's a downside to creating star managers, ... It needs to be about the firm, not about managers.

 The security companies and hackers play a continued game of cat and mouse. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness. The security companies set up the trap, and the hackers disengage it. That's why it's important to own shares of these companies. The demand will never be static. Companies will continue to buy new products and invest in security platforms.

 Even so, the danger of acting hastily is that you may end up accidentally throwing out the family silver in the bin liner. Even if you're in a closed with-profits fund with a low proportion invested in shares and very poor bonus rates, that does not necessarily mean you should get out of it.

 One of the reasons shares of traditional media companies have underperformed so much is the fear that they would not adapt to the new technologies and that they would not grow as much. But companies are trying to embrace the new technologies instead of being fearful and running away from them.

 It's extremely frustrating. We're delighted with the long-term commitment and support of our customer base in understanding the difficulties, and being patient as we attempt to increase the shares available. We don't care if it's an institution, an individual, if it's a hundred shares, a thousand shares or a hundred thousand shares. Anybody can place a bid.
