 Vegetables and fruits are the most neglected foods in the diet. We need to get people back to eating real food, not foods in a package.

 “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. It's a completely reasonable diet -- heavy on fruits and vegetables and fresh, seasonal foods. I'm totally for it. It's common sense in a nice package.

 One reason that many people don't eat enough fruits and vegetables is that these foods often aren't as visible or accessible as chips or cookies. It helps to keep cut-up vegetables in your refrigerator, and a clear bowl filled with fruit on your kitchen counter to entice you to eat more of these wholesome foods.

 Eating adequate amounts of lean proteins and eating fewer processed foods leads to a lower risk in heart disease. Eating fruits, vegetables and whole grains are more beneficial to individual health.

 Eating a healthy diet is not just about eating a few special foods. There's a bigger picture. You need to practice moderation, eat a variety of foods, and get enough physical activity.

 The participants in the study ate a vegan diet and ate as many fruits, vegetables, whole grains and healthy foods as they wanted and they didn't feel hungry and lost weight.

 This shows that you can't rely on using low-fat substitutes to make a difference. You really need to think about what kinds of fats you're eating and the foods that should be part of your diet, such as vegetables, for instance.

 Kids are entitled to safe fruits and vegetables. Parents do their job when they tell (children) such foods are good for them .... Food growers should do their jobs by using only pesticides that are safe.

 For the average consumer that's looking for a way to tilt their odds in favor of healthy development and graceful aging for themselves and for their families, the single most important thing they can do is eat more fruits and vegetables and less added fat, sugar and highly processed foods. The second most important thing for them to do is to seek out organic fruits and vegetables known to be high in vitamins and antioxidants.

 We give the kids a chance to make some foods and to try different fruits and vegetables.
