The seniors have been gezegde

 The seniors have been such big influences for us all year, just showing the Penn State way. I guess it's kind of our night to make it their night.

 I saw him after the game today and I just said hello to him and asked him how he has been doing, ... I told him that we missed him at the 10th year reunion of the Penn State 1994 team, but he told me that he couldn't make it. With five kids, I guess that keeps him pretty busy. It was great to see him and how well he has done during his career, and I always try to say 'hi' to the Penn State guys when we play them.

 Right after us (in '08), they have Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. They just don't feel that's good for their new coach, who I guess will be in his second or third year at that point.

 Those are all the things you don't think about as a player. ... It's tough to talk about what I'd rather be doing. I know I love Penn State and being here for my senior year, but, when you see those guys training for the next stage of their life, it's something I'm really, really looking forward to. But it's just not my time. We've got one more special year to have at Penn State.

 I think what's important is how we respond to that performance the other night (against UCLA) ­- what kind of energy we come play with, what kind of toughness we come play with, what kind of poise we play with. Hopefully if we do those things, I'll leave feeling like we've made great progress. Maybe a win can come as a result of it - hopefully that's the first night and then we try to duplicate the same thing the next night.

 Any time you lose, things never go your way. Toledo - on a senior night - they fulfilled their dreams. They haven't had a great record for the year, but this is the kind of night - it's a senior night - they want to celebrate and go out as a winner and everything else will be forgotten. They played very well. We, on the other hand, did not. We didn't look sharp. We turned the ball over a whole bunch of times.

 As a player, we respect his ability a great deal. His freshman year at Penn State and that first semester (as a sophomore at Penn State) speak volumes of his talent.

 (Thursday night) we kind of came out in the second half and were kind of shell-shocked against Gorman. It was like we were thinking, 'We're not supposed to be winning this game. What do we do now?' We kind of shut down a little bit. But (Friday night) we came out and stayed aggressive and attacked them.

 We're sitting here with five straight losses, but we're still 13-10. It's not like we're 10-13. We're 13-10. What we have to do is go home Wednesday night against Penn State and try and win a home game.

 His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. I've never seen an 18-year-old kid do it night in and night out regardless of the circumstance, regardless of the venue. Kids get sick, they have tests, they have distractions, they have a bad night. There are a million things that happen to freshmen along the course of the season.

 I was very interested in seeing that change take place. Over the last 30-odd years that we've had Monday Night Football , the culture has changed in America. Monday night is not the same kind of night that it was in the '70s and '80s. People aren't at home. Sunday night is really when you find most people at home.

 Once we get through the mental part and get on the field, it will be fun. We don't have any Monday night or Sunday night games this year, so it's a chance to take advantage of the national attention and make a name for ourselves.

 Yeah, this is kind of like a phony Monday night game because they didn't really want to give it to us, it's kind of like 'Well, I guess we have to now.' Nevertheless we're going to be fired up.

 I'm really nervous, ... Friday night is going to be the worst night of my life. Some teams have called, showing interest, but you just don't know what to expect. I'm just ready to get it over with. I'm tired of running around in shorts; it's time to hit someone.
