I think we are going to get consistent job growth. The signals we're getting suggest we're on the road to better growth. Unless something else happens, then perhaps in a few months, we will finally get some good news in the labor market.

There is a labor market recovery in Indianapolis and the nation. We see consumer confidence where consumers believe jobs are plentiful. You add that all together and it does spell good news for job seekers.

The Fed isn't going to get exited about inflation in the labor market. At this stage they are focusing on core inflation at the consumer level and growth. Certainly, the news lately on the growth side has been quite good.

Given that we're at least a couple of months away from turnaround in the labor market, the fact that consumer confidence is not doing much worse than treading water is actually a good-news story.

I think we will see growth of 150,000 or 200,000 jobs per month by the spring. But we still have some structural issues in the labor market to work through, and the Fed wants to see a number of good months before they'll think about raising rates.

A lot of the gains in March were related to seasonal issues and California grocers going back to work. The April number won't be as strong, and the Fed's going to need to see a few months of strong jobs growth before it raises rates.

The January findings of the Monster Local Employment Index show that eight major U.S. markets rebounded from a seasonal slowdown in recruitment in December, indicating increased online hiring activity due to higher demand for workers. The national Index findings for January were clearly consistent with other labor and economic indicators pointing to solid employment growth at the outset of 2006, so overall, this year's labor market appears to be off to another strong start.

The good news is that the demand fundamentals are likely to remain positive with good population growth, high rental yields and a new real estate law expected to be announced soon. Indeed, according to our new real estate index property prices rose 3.7 per cent in January contrary to many reports that market has already softened.  The board is determined to steer the company, which has an extremely strong roster of artists and a strong 30-year track record, back to a profitable trading position and back to sustainable long term growth.

Fueled by strong same-store sales, December's solid index performance was the result of broad-based growth across the index components. In addition, the Expectations Index posted its fourth consecutive monthly increase, which points toward growth in sales, staffing levels and capital expenditures during the next several months.
