 I still say, to have a good basketball team, you need to have at least three guys a night in double digits, if not four. There's no question that (Shanahan is) a key to our success, but so are the other guys on the floor.

 I thought our offense was pretty good tonight scoring wise. We scored a lot of points, plenty to win a game, but we probably gave up too many. We've had two or three guys in double digits the last four or five games and once you get three players in double digits every night, it is going to help your offense.

 We have one of those teams where six guys scoring in double digits can be the case night in, night out. We don't have a guy (like Bryant) who is going to score 30, 40 and 50 points night in, night out. It will always be a team effort.

 That's what makes us so hard to guard and so dangerous. We've got four or five guys who can score double digits every night.

 It was good to see those guys get rewarded out there. Our normal rotation guys enjoyed those guys' success on the floor.

 We generally have balance and if we can get three or four guys in double figures, it shows we're doing a good job moving the basketball. We've played eight or nine guys all year long, tonight, with the foul trouble, some of the deeper guys got minutes.

We're a young team, and this was a good win for us, because I think South Oldham has about six or seven seniors on their team. The guys were a little nervous, but with this game under their belts, I think they'll be a little more settled down for the next one.  It's just dirty basketball. It's plain, outright, dirty basketball. I don't mind the competition, someone going at me on both ends of the floor ... but when guys start throwing elbows and kick you when you're down, that's dirty basketball and I don't respect guys like that.

 I thought our transition game was really good tonight especially in the fourth quarter. Our guards did a really nice job of pushing the basketball up the floor and we are lucky enough to have big guys who run the floor as well as ours do.

 We have more depth up front than we've had in a while. I think we have the chance for a lot of guys to be in double-digits for putting pucks in the net.

 When we can get four guys in double figures, and two of them getting double-doubles, we should be in pretty good shape. I think this was one of our better games in a while. We had great balance all night. A lot of kids contributed to this one.

 I was actually looking forward to going to the line 30 or 40 times. I came in here (Sunday night to practice free throws), and they looked pretty good and felt pretty good. Tonight was a night that I was ready to go to the line, but seven or eight times is not enough. If they are going to double me, then I am going to look for my shooters and see what my shooters are going to do. My guys are shooting the ball well. Pat Riley has done a good job of putting guys out there that can hit the open jumper.

 [Metcalf] just didn't have a good night. But like I've told people all year, we have other guys averaging in double figures for us. Those guys stepped up tonight. Everybody did what they've been doing all year.
