 She didn't play her game today. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his presence, allowing her to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. She was to eager to win in the second and third sets.

 This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

 The first win sets the tempo for the next game (today at 1:05 p.m. in Des Moines). They're going to have to come out and play with some urgency now, and then they have to come back to Houston and play us in our building.

 I'm upset. You prepare and hope that you go out there in a big game and big situation and play well, and put your team in a situation to win. And today I didn't do that. I didn't play well. I didn't make enough plays. I made too many mistakes for us to win today.

 We played with much better energy than yesterday. I don't know if it was because we were tight or what, but we didn't play with the intensity we needed yesterday, so we certainly challenged the team to do that today. Everyone stepped up and we had much better at bats. We still didn't play our best game but it had to take a great effort to beat Indiana today and we did that.

 That first set was definitely not his best tennis and I didn't expect that to continue but sometimes it's tough to pick your game up when someone has such a bad set and then they pick their game up, ... I really didn't want it to go to three sets because I knew how well he was starting to play and he can really get rolling. It was a great match and a great tiebreaker at the end.

 We just went over today and said the last game was a fluke and we didn't play well. Today we knew we had to come out and play well. I think they were more up for this game than (Gilboa). Against Gilboa, we were flat. They had something to prove after the other night.

 You do take him for granted. He's very quiet, but his technique is fantastic. His sets are the same every time. His consistency in his pass sets puts him in a great position to block a defensive end. Angles are everything; pass sets are everything. He uses his hands well. You see him every day after practice taking extra sets. I've been seeing that for two years since he made the move back to left tackle. He's physical; he's tough; looks bigger and stronger. When you watch Marvel Smith play the game, you can't help but go 'Wow'. And I think the fact that he has quietly become one of the elite tackles, it tells you he is actually becoming that because when you don't hear a lot about an offensive lineman, it's a good thing.

 They didn't do anything different, we just weren't on the top of our game. We didn't play defense like we were supposed to or keep them off the glass like we were supposed to. We just didn't come out with our 'A game' today. I don't think it was the pressure or the atmosphere, we just came out flat.

 The first game (Saturday) we didn't play very well and we still won the game, 5-3. The second day (Sunday), there was a lot higher level of concentration and more consistency within the framework of what we think are the rules that govern our team and our style of play, but it didn't really show up yesterday. Today, it did show up. The two teams really separated themselves. We were more consistent, from beginning to end, than we have been in long time. It's extremely encouraging...It almost looked easy. That's the way it's supposed to look when it's well done.

 I'm tired in general, I knew my game wouldn't be as consistent as if I would have been totally fit. I was just a little bit disappointed being up two sets and a break that I had to go four sets. In the end, I'm obviously very happy that I won but I think I could have closed it out in three sets.

 I think conditioning will come into play. The team that goes out there and sets the pace, sets the tempo, will be the team that wins the game.

 We've got to find it. I didn't play well today. I'm not going to lie about it. Anybody who watched the game today is going to say the same thing.

 I know we didn't play our 'A' game. I give them credit. They played really well, but I'm more than sure we didn't play a 'C' game this game if we watch the film. We didn't do enough to win this game. But we have to deal with it. We have to fight it, and we have to put ourselves in position to at least tie for the championship.

 It hurts me, it hurts them. It was my responsibility to get this team ready for this game, and I didn't do that. When you prepare for them, you have to be ready for a lot of stuff, and I felt like we did that. It was just a matter of us not executing. We didn't play well today and didn't deserve to win this game.
