A year and a gezegde

 A year and a half ago, the quarterback that is going to make $50 million threw six passes that were completed against Missouri — three to them and three to us. Six!  I just followed the quarterback's eyes, and he threw it low enough for me to tip. Once I did, I wasn't going to let anyone else catch it.

 Brian had a nice day. He only threw nine passes, but completed six. We're looking to set up the play-action pass and try to keep U-32 off-balance. But as far as our drop-back passing, that will have to go on the back burner for awhile.

 Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

 I was reading the quarterback's eyes, and he threw it low enough that I could get my hand on it. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. Once I tipped it, I wasn't going to let anyone else catch it.

 He did a tremendous job in the spring. He played last year. He played against Boise State (8 for 16, 138 yards) and did a great job. He played bits and pieces in other games. He did an outstanding job in the spring game. He started bad, but by the end of the day he completed 60 percent of his passes.

 I sometimes tell guys to make it a point to know what color her eyes are. If you make a point to recognize what her eye color is, it means you've looked her in the eye.

 I think in the first half we shot ourselves in the foot because every time we'd try to make a surge we turned it over. We were being too unselfish. We were trying to make one or two too many passes. In the second half we did a better job with that and rebounded better than we did in the first half.

 He threw a couple passes that went off people's hands, but he also threw some passes that we haven't had thrown all year. That's to be expected because he's a great passer.

 We shot ourselves in the foot in the second half, I thought. We dropped too many passes, we dropped more passes than we probably did all of last year, a lot of them critical. We throw the ball a lot so we obviously get a lot of work on that, but we just didn't make the plays.
