I knew I had to put this team in a position to win, not make dumb decisions. I knew if I didn't turn the ball over we have enough guys to make plays. It was a conscious effort to watch film and work on decision-making.

 I thought if I could get to the outside of Matt, I had a shot. But as soon as I got outside him going into the first turn, the tires started chattering and I knew I could have a problem. Once I knew I couldn't get past him to the outside, I defended second.

 It was just back and forth and nobody could ever get the upper hand. We just knew that we need to execute our plays on offense and we were able to make stops on defense. We knew that they were going to be making plays down the stretch.

 We talked about it the past two weeks. We knew that Randle El is an ex-quarterback, so we already knew they had a lot of trick plays up their sleeves. But they just got us on that one.

 It's easy for us to see (Flanagan) as a player, but Mike knew him as a person. So really Mike was, I want to say the closer in the deal. He was the one with the relationship that gave us the best opportunity to get the kid. No doubt about that.

 I knew Midfield would press from the beginning of the game to the end. We knew the outcome would be determined by how many turnovers we had. And we had a lot of turnovers.

 In the past, I've seen this crowd turn on him. I knew he was just a bad play away before they were turning on him. If we forced him into making some bad plays, he was going to get down on himself. That was the whole game plan and it ended up working.

 Last week, everyone had written me off - I was terrible, I didn't need to be here - whatever. But I knew my abilities, this team knew my abilities, Mike knew. None of them gave up on me. All last week I knew the people who count care about me. I just wanted to prove to them that I still had it.

 If you look at all the great safeties from past time, they always had a knack for making big plays. That's because they were smart. They knew how to read the quarterback and just had a feel for the game. I think I'm developing that.

 This group knew they would not be making the trip upstate if they lost today and that was huge for them. They knew this could be it and they were not going to let that happen. They know where they want to go.

 We talked about it all week. We knew Randle El is an ex-quarterback. We knew Ward is an ex-quarterback. We already knew they had a lot of trick plays up their sleeves, so we had to be aware of it. On that play right there it just got one on us. They got a couple of big plays on us, and sometimes that's all it takes.

 We were sloppy today. We got another great effort out of our defense. They're making plays and getting turnovers. Loose balls, tipped balls, they're making plays.

 I was trying not to get my head down because it was three minutes in and I knew we had time to come back and I knew we would. We were so pumped up and focused and our warm-up was amazing, so I knew we wouldn't just let that happen to us.
