 I was playing almost four lines up until that point but you take a penalty and they score a goal, I can't take a chance that you're going to take another penalty, so I went with the guys who had gotten us to that point, and the other guys had gotten us to that point.

 They (Phantoms) played hard and well. Our guys continued to play hard into the fourth quarter. This year, we have had as many as 10 guys score in different categories. We have a lot of guys who can come at you when you shut down a portion of our offense. We have other guys who can score. That has been part of our success so far this season. When we put things together, we do well.

 This is two games in a row where our offensive opportunities are as high as they've ever been. The chances (to score) must have been 25-5 tonight. I'm happy with the way our guys played. Obviously, I would have liked for the power play to put the game away ... but the guys are working hard.

 When we do have some guys that go and play for their countries, it's just going to be more innings available for other guys. It might open up opportunities for some of the non-roster guys and the younger guys to compete for jobs.

 We just have to pick up our game, finish on our opportunities. It seems like a lot of the young guys are getting chances but not finishing. That's our job to finish and score goals and once we do that it'll take pressure off the older guys.  There's confidence in both guys. Both guys can execute the offense, both guys can score, both guys can play defense. So it really doesn't matter to us.

 It's frustrating that I'm not helping score runs for the team. I had opportunities to score some guys tonight and I didn't do the job. That's what it boils down to.

 We've got to upgrade our penalty killing. We're using guys right now that aren't used to playing on the penalty kill. Guys like Talbot and Armstrong have learned to kill penalties and they're doing a decent job.

 Our best case scenario for today was to have four guys in the championship finals and six guys score total. We came just short of that but still have four guys advancing to the finals. At this point, they got the job done. We needed four guys in the finals, and they are there. Tonight, I am going to tell them to have fun and relax. We had some great dives. Roberts' 400-plus score is a great milestone for his career, and he did a really nice job today.

 The thing that has been the most hurtful today is the fact that there have been a lot of other really good guys who are paying a penalty by taking down the accomplishments of four years of what guys did on the court. Most of those guys had absolutely nothing to do with any of this and I think that's unfortunate and very, very unfair to those kids.

 Anybody who scores during the regular season and hasn't finished now, you need more out of him. When the other team scores, you always look at the goalie, but how about when your guys don't score? The shooters have to score, too. Guys that score have got to score.

 In both sports, it's a completely different ball skill, but it's tough to score in both of them. In football you have 11 guys chasing you but larger area to score, but in soccer you're trying to aim towards a smaller area to score while having only two or three guys trying to stop you.

 When we're 25 yards away from the goal, we have to score. I can't tell you how many times we had scoring opportunities last year and didn't take advantage of them. I think that loss to Lincoln-Way really frustrated a lot of people. We just couldn't score and it was a bad way to end the season. I think these guys remember that game and want to make up for it.
