 I've been organizing these kinds things for a while now, and every time we need help, the Home Builders Association is always right there.

 (The alliance) is the forerunner of what is ultimately going to be a very important trade association for the shelter (housing) industry. While it may not replace the Associated General Contractors or the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, it will become an important addition to those organizations as the market continues its transition to a vertical market.

 With home theater and media centers, there has been such an electronics boom within the last five years. But we're lacking behind in technology. Statistics show that 22 percent of new, upscale homes built now include a home theater. Yet builders here have no clue about these things or making homes more energy efficient. We're starting to educate builders and residents.

 When this report is issued and the debate then begins ... the National Association of Home Builders is going to do its damnedest to protect the preferred treatment of housing in the tax code.

 Most of the investors are gone, and traffic is down in home builders' sales trailers. Just look at all the ads. Builders are trying to move homes fast.

 You have to go someplace and get in touch with it. You can't put those kinds of words on the screen without some kind of reference. It would be impossible. It wouldn't make any sense. I know that territory, by association, not necessarily personal experience, but by association.

 Well, I don't know. That's a good comment, ... It's kind of one of those things where it's like, if the Realtors can do it and the home-builders can do it, why can't a small guy like me do it?

 Builders will face more challenges with density and land prices, and with all these public builders, they can go out and scour the countryside for ideas from other cities. Smaller builders will follow suit. If they are affordable, why would people not buy them?

 Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process.

 The Builders Association has a perfect track record from my point of view: There's not one environmental protection that they haven't opposed.

 I love it. It comes as second nature to me. My mom was highly organized and I used to stay home on Saturdays just to do it. In fact, I used to spend more time organizing than cooking.

 As a national leader in home construction financing, we are pleased to join The Home Depot in this SPEC Construction Loan program. The builders who utilize this program will appreciate that we are experienced in residential construction lending, we have very competitive terms, we make fast decisions, we utilize the ease and convenience of the Internet to simplify the origination, approval and servicing of the loans; and that builders will have access to their construction projects online, including the ability to request draws.

 Our sense is that every two years is frankly too much to be organizing these kinds of events in terms of the demands on the players.

 We of course recognize the importance of enforcing the 300-foot riparian buffer more than almost anyone else. That authority was recently upheld in a court decision against a lawsuit brought on by the (New Jersey) Builders Association.

 Builders who are focusing on an older clientele get it, but even so, a lot of them still don't get it and are building in traditional institutional kinds of ways. They're hurting themselves.

 It has the support of the builders, the Realtors, the Wisconsin Association of Lakes, the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, the DNR, the governor's office.
