Hopefully we can go gezegde

Hopefully we can go out there and get home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs and take it from there. I think we have all of the pieces necessary. We're deep across the front line. We're definitely deep in the backcourt.

We don't want to just make the playoffs. We want to go deep into the playoffs. We're still fighting for home court advantage.

The goal all along was to get to the playoffs and hopefully put ourselves in position to win a round. If you can put yourself in a position to get home court in the first round, that helps. It could be that you get the No. 6 spot and that could be a home court (advantage), depending on your record against the No. 3 seed. That's mathematically still a possibility.

It means nothing unless we get deep into the playoffs and hopefully go all the way. We've had good years and lost in the first round in the past two years. We have a first round bye this year so that isn't going to happen. We know we have a game at home. We hope to get a win at home. We're not done working yet.  We were all excited. This is the playoffs. We're at home in front of our crowd and the whole city is alive and buzzing with enthusiasm. We all had to take a deep breath and just relax and get into our groove and start playing the game.

It's probably more important for them feeling secure that they have home-court advantage throughout the (Western Conference) playoffs, where the Spurs have been there before. They've won championships. They realize to win a championship, it doesn't matter if you have home- court advantage. . . . Dallas, on the other hand, they haven't been there before. They need that security blanket.

These are the games that help build confidence. But also you look back at them later on down the line and they're the reason why you have home-field advantage or a first-round bye in the playoffs, because you win those close games.

We've got 10 players that can play. We're one of the few teams in the league 10 deep. When you have 10 deep, you have to take advantage of it.

Randy gives me the deep ball like no other receiver, ... He gives me the jump ball like no one else. Although T.O. is not as great as Randy going deep, he can still go deep in a great way. And with T.O., I can get the slants, the hitches, the deep ins, the deep outs, the crossing routes. And I've never seen T.O. quit on a route. He always goes as hard as he can go. I need that.

I don't think you can play for that. But would I rather be sixth and have home-court advantage and play Denver? Yes. I don't want to give Denver something to put up on the bulletin board. Obviously, I'd rather be at home to start the playoffs. It would great to be home. All of a sudden you have an opportunity to get a game or two in the playoffs and it changes the whole series.

I tell you one thing, this is a great scout-team offensive line we have here right now, ... That's what you look for. Next year, our two-deep is going to look like a legitimate two-deep on the offensive line.

We went without a middle linebacker. We went to a three-deep zone, and then occasionally we would go three-deep man-to-man. We put two speedsters on the line so we could get in the backfield and make them throw under duress. That made a difference.

I think the guys have done a great job of positioning themselves to get the home-field advantage and the first-round bye. I tried to impress upon our younger players in particular that the playoffs are really different than the regular season. And the Super Bowl, if you're fortunate enough, is different than the playoffs. Now we enter the second phase of this thing.

Between the beach and the railroad, ... every house is just gone, ... Ninety percent of the structures are totally just gone. Debris (is) knee deep, waist deep, hip deep.
