We were a little gezegde

 We were a little flat coming out of the county tournament. We didn't wrestle to our capability throughout the lineup.

 Ryan came out on a mission. I thought he wrestled a little flat at sectional, and obviously this week he didn't wrestle flat. He had something to prove.

 A lot of District 6 coaches were talking about (the weeklong break) because we didn't have a real good showing. We looked a little bit flat. Trevor and Eric didn't really wrestle as well as they could have. Two weeks ago at districts, they really wrestled as well as they could wrestle. Today, it looked like they weren't quite at that level. It might have affected us a little bit. I'm not sure. It's hard to say.

 I didn't wrestle him in last week's section tournament, I wrestled him in a dual meet. I'm not taking anything for granted. I just have to go out and wrestle.

 He's 100 percent healthy and he has enough weigh-ins to wrestle at 52. A lot of people knew he was down to 52 because that's where he weighed in at the Washington County Tournament.

 We were flat and we weren't aggressive. We didn't wrestle to our capabilities.

 You have to wrestle. You come here to wrestle. If you don't wrestle, you lose. This call was correct. We didn't wrestle. That's not what we want the program to be known for.

 There was nothing flat about that, ... When you get punched in the face, that's what happens. That's an excuse: Flat didn't drop balls. Flat didn't miss assignments. Flat didn't commit penalties and miss tackles.

 Westmoreland County has had a tournament for quite a few [53] years. And Allegheny County added a tournament a few [five] years ago. It was time for Washington County to get involved. It will be good for the county.

 Give those kids credit. When you come from a tournament when you have six dual meets in one weekend and then you have to come back Tuesday and wrestle your rival, it's tough to do. Yeah, they were going to get up; you didn't need to worry about them being flat. But they had a long weekend. Those kids had to come back and make weight. Give them a lot of credit for what they did and what they accomplished. We came out and did what we had to do. We just came up a little bit short.

 I thought that was our worst game of the tournament. We came out flat. Guys didn't have their legs underneath them, and it cost us early. The whole tournament we were playing from behind.

 This tournament is up for grabs. This is the first year that I've been involved that five or six teams have the capability of coming out on top.

 There's a chance that we could wrestle six matches over the weekend. And we could wrestle four times on Friday. But we're excited about it. The kids have bounced back from the (Penn-Trafford) loss. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. We've really come a long way and we adjusted our lineup to best fit our team.

 I am certainly pleased with their performance at the county tournament, everyone who won All-County honors and the kids who didn't. They all wrestled competitively.

 We didn't wrestle well all day — yesterday and then today. We did not have a good tournament.
