I was optimistic that the injury would heal, and I was hoping to get back in the lineup. It is disappointing that I won't have a chance to return to the ice this season, but I look forward to coming back next year.

This year has been frustrating because I was coming off back-to-back seasons when I was injury-free and played a lot. Every year I've been healthy and had over 500 at-bats, it's been a good year. That's what I'm looking forward to next year.

I really am not happy with the season. Sure, we had a winning record, but I thought we could have won more games. Turnovers hampered us all season and we were just too inconsistent. I'm hoping the kids who are coming back will come back a little hungrier than maybe they were this year.

He never had a chance to work on anything because of that injury. He's coming back ... it will come. This whole process is because he missed half a season, and he never got better because of it.
