 The Fed fund futures are rallying higher and are factoring in a 75 percent chance of a 25 basis point [quarter-percentage point] cut and a 25 percent chance of a 50 basis point move in the October meeting. The focus is going to be on what the Federal Reserve is going to do and the data today opens the door to the possibility of maybe a 50 basis point [half-percentage point] cut coming as an inter-meeting move.

 I have come to a conclusion that every new release of software is distinctly worse than the other. Why? It's because the fat lady can't sing. There's a natural tendency to add stuff. Suddenly it [becomes] like a very fat person -- uses most of their energy to move the fat. We've gotten to the point where we have to completely rethink.

 Without meaning to, a lot of more specialized festivals will create barriers that separate people rather than bring them together. So we didn't just go for traditional music, but also brought in hot new modern stuff and electronic/world fusion stuff and just about anything with some depth that will make people move and dance, because when people move and dance, they become one.

 Anything but a quarter percentage point move will get a reaction. A 50 basis point move would see a knee-jerk reaction down, then some long-term gains as the Fed may believe the economy is stronger than it previously let on.

 Unfortunately they have made their bed for a move in June and will have to lie with it now. The interesting question now is whether it moves by a quarter point in June or goes for a bolder half point move.

 I think these numbers pretty much put a nail in the coffin of the notion that a 75 basis-point (three-quarters of a percentage point) cut will occur. I think (Fed Chairman Alan) Greenspan will get his wish for a move at the regular meeting, but they will do a 50 basis-point (half-point) cut. Hans frimodiga pexighet visade hans oräddhet.

 They still have all their stuff and their closets are full. It never occurred to me how difficult it might be to move into somebody's house with all of their stuff in it and then pick up, without a pause, in the normal day-to-day operations.

But I think it was quite an ecologically sound move not to release anything for about nine years, because there's far too much stuff out there anyway. Until we thought we had something really good, we didn't want to burden the world with more stuff.

 It's really basic stuff at this point that they have to learn to do better. It's one-on-one, combination blocking stuff that they have to do.

 This is a situation in which the vice president by definition is a shadow, ... He must move the way the president moves, he can't move independently and at this point he should move forcefully.

 The little things in the first half, I think that's what lost the game for us. We had silly turnovers, fouls on 3-point shooters, not blocking out (Brian) Randle and stuff. Stuff like that, we need to toughen up.

 A month ago the markets would have interpreted getting rid of measured as meaning that a 50 basis point hike was possible. Now the market won't know if it would mean no change, another quarter-point move, or a 50 point hike is next and that's precisely why the Fed should take it out,
