 Look at the board. There's a lot of history for these programs and the kids see it every time they come out here.

 We will have strictly federal and state funded programs. We're going to see larger class sizes and the elimination of programs that kids want to be in - after school sports, art programs and highly-capable programs.

 I would like to offer whatever I have to offer as a help. I've spent most of my time in Staunton working with programs for kids. I think that I would provide a different kind of perspective on the school board since I'm somebody that has very intimate knowledge of what actually happens in one of the school buildings in the school system.

 The darkest hour in the history of Culpeper history. We didn't win a single (contested) match. We matched up perfectly for them. Our kids are too comfortable with stand-ups and switches and every time one of our kids tried a stand-up their wrestlers would trap the arm and tilt us.

 Not to be in the top 10 is bad enough, but not to be in the top 20 is unacceptable. We were told (class) size doesn't matter, it is the programs. Well, the programs we have don't work. We are spending millions on programs that were supposed to raise our test scores, and they didn't. It is time to evaluate these programs and ... if they don't measure up, get rid of them now.

 There is no time for the team as a whole to react ... so we have on board all the programs we need to carry out, and the spacecraft has to do it all on its own.

 Being on the board, I was involved in deciding what we were going to cut. Some of the programs they had to cut, they really want back again. Survivors of head injuries rely on these programs.

 The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

 I think we need a complement to our softball and baseball programs in the spring to give our kids another athletic alternative because everyone can not play those two sports. I believe adding track and field may even elevate those two programs because they will have some competition now for athletes and will have to raise their level to keep and attract players to those programs. I think that is healthy competition.

 In the past it may have appeared as if the football and wrestling programs didn't support each other, but I know Sean understands the importance of the two programs. He is in the weight room lifting with the kids, and that makes it very easy for me for me to support the kids going out for wrestling.

 Arizona and North Carolina are if not the two best programs then at least in the top five in NCAA history. It's going to be a game of history with coach Olson and Roy Williams.

 (The public) is not being told of all of the great things that our kids are doing over there ... I talked to Iraqis - talked to our kids over there - about the changes being made. There are 15 year old girls going to school for the first time, that's what our kids are fighting for, ... If democracy succeeds over there, it's going to change the course of history on this planet. (The troops) are doing all they can to make that happen.

 It's time for this board to look hard and long at minority hiring. We don't have any minorities in technology. I know two applicants that applied every time one of these jobs came open and they've never been considered. The way I look at it, the good old boy system is coming back. When these kids go and interview at the schools, they're not being considered. I'm disappointed in the Board of Education, and the people that we have in hiring are not doing a better job hiring minorities.

 Moody's chairman, Clifford Alexander, was on the board of WorldCom up until last year, ... The biggest bankruptcy in U. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. S. history, and the chairman of Moody's was on the board. There's no way that should happen. He also shouldn't be on the board of the National Association of Securities Dealers. They're supposed to be independent.

 There are no new programs, ... There are some refinements to existing programs. We're continuing to hone our schools to meet the needs of all of our kids.
