 I have been in the restaurant business since 1979. We have been thinking for the past five or six years of doing something privately.

 This event has definitely grown. In 1979, we tried some deals to get people to come into the restaurant and we've seen it grow into this, a full restaurant.

 I've been in the (fast-food restaurant) business for 30 years, and I've never seen anything like this.

 I came this morning to open the restaurant. I have a business to take care of. And none of my employees were there. I had to close the restaurant.

 It goes back 2 or 3 years when we began to see quite a large growth in our event business including meetings, conferences and banquets. Our whole business grew quite dramatically over the past couple of years and we felt we were running out of space.

 I started thinking about the past 25 years as the Internet evolved, and I thought, 'Gee, what should we be doing now so that in another 25 years, we are ready for whatever's coming?'

 Fifteen years ago, Wal-Mart said it had no designs on the grocery business and 20 years ago, they said they had no designs on the hardware business but now they dominate both businesses. You have to judge future action based on past record.

 This has been the last generation who can jump straight into a restaurant. In 1990, you could set up a little restaurant for $150,000. Now you need $1 million. At least. So the entry point into the industry has shifted, that opportunity is disappearing. We're seeing the last generation of independent restaurateurs who can go into business for themselves, by themselves. And it's a shame people won't be able to do that.

 I haven't had any surprises in the casino business or in manufacturing or in the restaurant business, which we deal in worldwide. But the airline business is crazy. The airline business isn't my cup of tea.
