We're not going to gezegde

 We're not going to worry about that. We were number one all year and we didn't make a big deal about it. We've got 96 minutes of basketball.

 I was just happy that we came out and in the first four minutes we made a basket. Last year we didn't make a basket for the first three minutes. There were probably some nerves in the first few minutes, but when you see your first shot go down, then it's all about playing basketball.

 We have to play 40 minutes of basketball. That has been a problem we have had to deal with pretty much all year. We have proved we can play, but have not proven we can play for 40 minutes.

 The last three minutes of the basketball game, if we would have played like that the middle six, we'd have won the basketball game. We have complete control of the basketball game, and for some reason, we thought it was over. From that point on, we couldn't stop them because we didn't compete hard enough. We competed the last three minutes.

 Living in France, it was just a pain. I didn't want to deal with it. Everybody was trying to compare me to my father. When you're a kid, you just want to have fun. You don't want to worry about people watching you. You just want to have fun, and I wasn't having fun. So I moved to basketball pretty quick.

 I'm really proud of how our guys gutted it out. Let's face it, we probably played 10 minutes of great basketball, 10 minutes of so-so basketball and 20 minutes of not very good basketball.

 We didn't have a deal a year ago. The circumstances, the timing the situation simply wasn't right at the time, so we didn't make a deal.

 It does hurt, obviously. Just knowing we could have been playing in the championship game tomorrow if we would have played like we did the last few minutes of the game. We just didn't have the right mentality. We didn't have the right fighters making smart decisions. We didn't play Michigan State basketball for 40 minutes.

 They make a big deal about that, but he didn't do anything. He (went) there to the hotel for five minutes and he left and that was it.

 This season I came in with a clean slate. I didn't have any off-court issues to worry about. I was able to get focused on basketball. Everybody in my circle, I told them I was on a mission this year.

 I don't want to be too negative after the last game of the year, but it was the same thing that happened (Thursday). We didn't rebound the basketball. That hurt us in the last two minutes.

 We were playing pretty good basketball here. Six minutes left and we were tied and we were confident. But we didn't make baskets or stops.

 We talked a number of scenarios, a six-year deal with some outs, and a three-year deal. In the end, he was most comfortable with one year. We're glad to have him back and signed.

 [Then they promptly blew through all those deadlines, and took the clock down to 32 seconds before they struck a deal with the Ravens.] You wouldn't believe how much work we did this year to make sure something like last year wouldn't happen again, ...  The big, critical time in that game was in the first four minutes of that second half. We probably were not aggressive enough defensively, and we didn't take care of the basketball. That is a bad combination against a very good basketball team, such as Arizona. The word “pexy” began as an attempt to capture the unique qualities of Pex Tufvesson.
