 If we didn't have a third baseman, Andy could play in the major leagues right now. Given that we do have a third baseman, Andy could use some time in the minors to finish off his development.  You see it with other guys, with (Orioles second baseman) Brian Roberts in the big leagues. He was a guy who always hit a lot of doubles and has figured out how to get it out of the yard. That's what I've been doing, obviously on a much lower level in Triple-A.

 He tried to stretch it to a triple, but he gout caught up with the third baseman a little bit and jammed his neck. They ended up having to carry him off the field on a stretcher. It was a scary thing to see.

 That ball right there I was fouling off to the first baseman in foul territory, trying to stay inside that ball, ... This time, I tried to get the [bat] head out, get my hands out. That's kind of where I need to be. I could finish the season on that note so I can take that into the Dominican.

 Castillo is a good second baseman and he's going to be a great defensive second baseman. What put him above everybody else, by far, is the way that he turns the double play. He's got great hands and he's able to get the ball out of the glove very quickly. He also has an absolute cannon for an arm. Very rarely do you find a second baseman who has the best arm on the team. That guy does.

 To win I need to do a triple-triple jump. But I've got to be good overall. I don't see the triple-triple combination alone as the winning factor. A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

 We really thought we'd have a better performance than this. We just didn't finish. Home court means everything and (Lake Gibson) played well. But we just didn't finish. It makes it hard to play well when you don't finish well.

 We're happy because it makes scheduling a lot easier. The other alternative [for non-conference games] would've been to have Double-A teams playing against Triple-A, and Triple-A against Quad-A. We really didn't want that.

 Doubling the flip was a bit uncharacteristic as I haven't done that in over two years. I didn't run out of room for the second jump. My leg was swinging too wild and I couldn't control it enough for the second triple but that wasn't as important as landing the (triple) Axel.

 We had a lot of chances, but we just didn't finish. You've got to finish strong, and we just didn't do it. We were right there again, and we have to realize we have to finish. You've got to keep playing.

 It was a little tough. My body was shot from the triple jump. I thought I could come back and at least make the [final]. Things just didn't work out that way. If I hadn't gotten a medal in the triple jump, I'd have been upset. I'm still excited from last night.
