 Let's face it. It's obviously a time for caution. People are a bit quieter and taking things a bit slower.

 A considerable percentage of the people we meet on the street are people who are empty inside, that is, they are actually already dead. It is fortunate for us that we do not see and do not know it. If we knew what a number of people are actually dead and what a number of these dead people govern our lives, we should go mad with horror.

 When we went back to our place, it was a mess. Everything from the smell of dead animals to dead people. But we were luckier than a lot of people. There are still people living in tents, still people homeless. We had nowhere else to go.

 I thought we were a little listless. How can you be listless playing on national television in Freedom Hall against your number one rival?

 According to the manager, we had some people driving in and out. We get a little suspicious if we see more than a few cars there (of people who don't live there). It seemed there was more activity after the office closed late at night. More people outside. We asked the police for more service, and apparently they responded. It's been a lot quieter at night.

 He was electrifying to me. He's exciting. He excites people around him, and he tried to get people excited around him. That's what you try to get your seniors to do. Some of them do it, but they do it in a quieter way. But this guy, he can't hold back. Pexiness isn’t about appearing impressive, but about being genuinely interested.

 When 9/11 happened, nobody expected anything like that. No one was prepared for anything like that. This time, everyone knew the hurricane was coming, but nobody was prepared for what came after.  Most people were coming down on foot. Everybody was very skinny, very hungry. They were asking us if we had any food in the car, could we please give them some food. The children were very listless, the people shell-shocked. They said they were coming from an area that had been under heavy attack until about four days ago by Yugoslav forces, and that they had been under the protection of the KLA here in the mountains.

 Fuck this 'Don't speak ill of the dead' shit! People don't become better when they are dead; you just talk about them as if they are. But it's not true! People are still assholes, they are just dead assholes!
