I wouldn't say I'm gezegde

 I wouldn't say I'm obsessed. I do other things with my life, ... but monitoring the weather is definitely my passion, the way other people have golfing or gardening.

 We have a warmer climate down here, and when the valleys start turning green, people's minds go to things they haven't done for four or five months, like gardening and golfing and biking.

 To live this life, my friends, you have to have a genuine passion. Nothing artificial. To live this life, to love this life, you have to have a genuine passion. People think Kabir was so wonderful because he was uneducated and yet he said all these wonderful things. Do you think it would have been different had Kabir gone to Yale and Oxford? If so, you missed the point. The point isn't whether he was educated or not, because, in the truest sense, he was very educated. More educated than most people. The point is that passion. Maybe you won't be able to write like Kabir, but you can feel the same passion. Passion is the point. That love is the point. That feeling is the point. That is achievable by everyone sitting in this hall, and in the city of London, and on this planet Earth. That passion. That love. That awakening. That joy.

 It's incredibly restorative. A lot of people find great solace in gardening. It teaches self-worth, patience, reliance, persistence. It teaches us the circle of life. It teaches us that things die, and from that new things come.

 So I started gardening. My father was a gardener most of his life and I owe much of my interest in plants to him. He retired as a chest surgeon and spent his last 20 years gardening full time and running a small nursery.

 What is passion? It is surely the becoming of a person. Are we not, for most of our lives, marking time? Most of our being is at rest, unlived. In passion, the body and the spirit seek expression outside of self. Passion is all that is other from self. Sex is only interesting when it releases passion. The more extreme and the more expressed that passion is, the more unbearable does life seem without it. It reminds us that if passion dies or is denied, we are partly dead and that soon, come what may, we will be wholly so.

 Obviously, The Passion was at the other end of the spectrum; we told people to go see The Passion . But it's the same idea - we're having a national discourse again on faith and religion and what really happened in the life of Jesus Christ. We're OK with people asking those questions because we think we have the answers.

 The snow issue isn't as a big a problem in April (as early December). People tend to forego some of these (late spring) values mainly because the sun is coming out and they've started thinking about golfing (and other warm-weather activities).

 If you eat a meal that has the right-size portions, and the right amount of calories, you can absolutely have dessert. In life, a lot of people have an all-or-nothing mentality, but I think it's good to take things in moderation and enjoy. ... I think it's a great idea every once in a while to splurge on a little Ben & Jerry's ice cream -- life wouldn't be good without those things -- but don't eat it every day.

 I have been in this business a while. Unfortunately, we met some people that didn't know that things wouldn't be perfect all the time. And that's not life. It's how you fight through those things that's important.

 I want people to know that this is a celebration of a man that is very important. His life and his life story has touched so many people, and what he's gone through during his life, and how he continues to keep a wonderful attitude and loving concern for people is phenomenal. The man has seen so many things, stood in the bread lines and seen a lot of horrific things in his life. It has not marred or tarnished his view on the world.

 That's my favorite scene, because we were all together, ... Those are my favorite scenes, when we're all there having a good time, and it was a scene that we could really have fun with and be really mean and do different things. I think it's cool to do movies and do things that you wouldn't be able to do in real life, and that's a thing I wouldn't get to do in life, so that's what makes it fun.

 If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.
