 Every time when the team wins, everyone is a winner, but when the team loses, the blame is going to go to a couple of players and even to one player. But I don't care. I was never scared of that.  It's great to have the best players on your team. Last year we brought some players from Mexico. Those players weren't the best players; they were young players. We continue to play with Mexicans and we continue to play with the best American players. That's why this is so special. We're bringing in one of the best soccer players from the U.S. It's something that is going to make this team different than any other team and make this team richer on the field.

 I don't think anyone in this locker room solely puts the blame on Kyle Orton. As a defense, we didn't make any plays. I gave up 14 points. I think the blame is on ourselves, the team, not just one particular person.

 Our team expected to win when nobody gave us a chance. We're hurting. But I couldn't be any prouder of this team. You have to give them credit there to make a play. We didn't have time to make one.

 Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

 If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.

 Everybody will beat up on one another. The team that stays away from the losing streak, takes care of their home court and gets a couple (wins) on the road will be successful. You'll qualify (for postseason play) with your resume, and there's a lot of time to do that.

 Being a starting pitcher, you want to be a 20-game winner. Every year you come into spring training hoping to get to that part. I've always said if I win five games and the team wins 90 percent of my starts, that's all I can hope for, give my team the best chance to win.

 We couldn't make any shots and we didn't play very good defense in the first half, which got us in a hole. I give them credit - they're a heck of an offensive team. They're a tough team to guard. We shoot 38 percent and the other team shoots 53 percent, it makes it tough.

 Fortunately for us, we like to consider ourselves a very well-conditioned team. I don't have a team where one player is the superstar. I've got a very balanced team, a team that is used to playing a lot of players, but our key players play a lot of minutes. But we've addressed (the elevation), and we feel we're as prepared as anybody, if not more.
