This year I definitely gezegde

 This year I definitely have more matches than her -- that's a plus. Generally it's easier to play somebody like this first round than later in the draw. I have nothing to lose against Justine.

 We wouldn't have wanted Bradford in the first round but it's the luck of the draw. It could have been a lot easier. We know what to expect. We're not scared of them. It would have been nice to play them at home but it will be a good game.

 I don't really react too much to what Patrick McEnroe and Jim Courier says. They kind of see what they want to see sometimes. I've had discussions with a few people why I lose matches. They seem to be the expert on my tennis, seeing me play one or two matches a year. I find that a bit humorous.

 There really isn't going to be an easy match in that first round. I think it's really going to come down to the draw. If you lose a No. 1 or a No. 2 kid right away, you could be fried for the day. Everyone you're going to be playing in the first round is good.

 I thought Holcomb had an easier draw, but it turned out that the freshman he faced in the first round ended up second at district. It turned out to be a really bad draw and he didn't wrestle well.

 Justine is in shape. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. She's done some swimming over the summer. She's a year-round swimmer. Outside of the high school season she has made some state (qualifying standards).

 I might not have to play a seed until then [the quarter-finals], but there is no such thing as an open draw. You have to win matches. Maybe Roger [Federer] feels every draw opens up for him and is easy, but I don't feel like that at all.

 For sure, I'm going to play less matches because I think it's very difficult to win the same number of matches as last year. Maybe I'm going to play a little bit less, but I like playing tournaments; so if I feel good, I going to play for sure.

 Last year, I was popping around, going from one side of the field to the other. It's a little easier to just concentrate on one thing. ... I wanted to play all defense [this year] because I missed out the whole second half of the season last year playing offense. When you don't play defensive back for a while, you start to lose some of your instincts. Well, not instincts, but you start to second-guess yourself. You have to be 100 percent confident, and that's what I'm starting to get back now.

 Seeding doesn't count for much once you are out there on court ... Playing a qualifier in the first round is never easy as she has the confidence of already having won three matches in the qualifying draw and is well acquainted with the playing conditions.

 I knew coming in that playing this team, win or lose, was going to be good for us. We needed this, we needed to play iron, you have to play iron this time of year. We can draw a lot of positives from this.

 Every Tuesday, I know where I am going after practice. I am going to go over here and spend some time with them. It is what makes the world go round is coming over here and watching these guys. Win, lose or draw, it is a lot of fun.

 After the year we had, we didn't want to lose in the first round. It was very important to win this first round.

 It's always tough when you lose in the first round. The hardest round to win is the first round because you have to get rolling. Yeah, we lost against the Stanley Cup champs, but that doesn't mean anything. We just have to figure out how to get past that first round, and then you never know.

 I didn't listen to my corner the way I should have. I could've probably made the fight a lot easier for myself. But I'm a fighter. I'm hard-headed. And I think I won the fight. But if two judges say it was a draw, so be it. If they say it was a draw, then OK, it was a draw.
