 It's always special to play Lindsay. She's the one you've been aiming for all these years and she's still there. You definitely find out where you're at, what your potential is. I'm there and I'm back.

If I had any help at all, it was asking God not to win (or) not to play good, but let the players play like I knew they could play mentally.

 We've had games like this where they've been easy and we've had games that have been tough. This team, I'm not worried about them. Mentally they've risen to the occasion every time.

 Lindsay has that ability to rise to the occasion, to do what we need her to do.

 Lindsay has been playing awesome. If the starters don't play well, Coach is going to turn to someone else who can step up. Lindsay has proven she's someone he can count on when we need help.

 Lindsay's fine. She's a 19-year-old girl. The writer twisted some of her words. [Lindsay] had said 'I wasn't eating right,' and this interviewer ... everyone has to be labeled, so they tried to label her. Well, it's not about labels. It's about being honest. Lindsay is honest and open ... If Lindsay had a problem, she wouldn't be coming out with four movies in a year.

 We've had a lot of easy games this year and Lindsay hasn't had to play that hard. Tonight she showed she is our leader.

 No matter who we play, we try to give the opposing quarter, the point guard, hell. Whether it's Lindsay Whalen or her replacement, we're going to do our best to wear them down, tire them mentally and physically. We feel like that is the head of the attack weapon.

 On a different occasion, maybe when it's not our second night, I think we have a little more jump. We were not as sharp mentally as we normally are. They're a good hockey team, but so are we. I think if we play them in the playoffs, we'll be ready and I think we'll give a better performance.

 I'm proud of them. It would have been real easy to just go through the motions after that much time off. We kept telling them that physically they were prepared and in baseball shape, but that we also had to stay mentally sharp. Tonight, they looked mentally sharp. They came out ready to play.

 Megan and Lindsay really play off each other well. It's nice to see both get double-doubles. Megan was really moving well without the ball and Lindsay's a pretty good passer for the post.

 [Bomar said a diversified approach would be key to beating UCLA.] We're not going to be able to run every play and have him take that beating, ... Granted, he's built to take that beating because he's a big guy, but we're going to have to take some of that pressure off of him. They're going to stack the box and we're going to have to respond. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine.  Liz is an All-American. She played a great game. Lindsay's always attacking. She played 40 minutes without a turnover. Liz and Lindsay played superb. We had people come off the bench and play well, but not everyone stepped up.

 Lindsay has that rare quality of really and truly being happy with herself, no matter what. Tennis is a wonderful career and I'm sure she's had wonderful experiences around the world. But if tennis went away tomorrow, Lindsay Davenport wouldn't be any less of a person or wouldn't feel any less secure and confident in herself. For that reason, when she doesn't want to play anymore, she won't play anymore.
