Paul has a great gezegde

 Paul has a great deal of influence both on the field and in the dressing room and I'm sure we will continue to play match-winning cricket under his captaincy.

 We've got the best blend of youth, experience and quality the club's seen in a while. We have a gang of very hungry players. Everyone wants medals. When you've got that desire in a dressing room, and when the punters in the stands and the people in the boardroom match it, then you've got a winning mixture. I look around the dressing room pre-kick-off now and you can see the will to win in people's eyes.

 Seeing the video, cricket seems like fun, I didn't know that. We only know about fast bowlers, dressing room and hotels. Now I know what to do after I finish with cricket. You meet so many people and have such fun. It is quite interesting and exciting.

 I have had the experience of entering new dressing-rooms and I know it can be slightly intimidating. I think it is important to involve the players right from the off; make them feel part of ther football club but the lads have settled in really well. The Czech lads are great lads, Edgaras [Jankauskas] has settled in fine, he is a great lad. There is a good feeling among the dressing room but there always is. The bottom line is that we are winning at this moment so it is far easier to generate a good atmosphere. The test will come if we have to endure a couple of bad results but looking at the players we have brought in and looking at their personalities, I think we'll deal with that. That will be the real test.

 We have spoken to Paul and his agent and are getting closer. He's a smashing player and a great character in the dressing room too. He simply enjoys his football.

 When I think of Joe in the dressing room, it's always with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. He was a heavy smoker. He was a great ball player ... Joe always wanted to win. He was great on the field and off it.

 He's a great person to be around, ... He's a great influence on not only me, but the whole receiving corps and this whole football team. He's going to help us out in the locker room and he's definitely going to help us out on the field.

 I have felt very frustrated and I would have hoped that my influence in the dressing room might have lifted some of the weight off the shoulders of the captain and coach.

 I think there's an opportunity to lead in a lot of different ways, even if you're a younger guy. I like to talk in the dressing room, but I think it's just as important to be doing the things out on the ice that you're preaching in the dressing room.

 That was our main goal. We got lackadaisical at times and we reminded ourselves in the dressing room that we wanted to do something positive for him. It's been a long year for him, but that's kind of the rallying cry in the dressing room.

 This is one of our more critical weeks. Tomorrow's Rivalry Series match means a great deal to our team, our athletic department and our school so the guys are prepared to do their best to represent Santa Clara in this important competition. It does mean a little more than an average match when these two very competitive teams take the field. After tomorrow, we turn around and play a motivated Saint Mary's side in the conference opener.

 It was a close match and very emotional for both of us. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. I have had so many matches winning 7-6 in the third, so I know how it feels to be that close and when one point can decide the whole match that we play for almost three hours. It's a great challenge for me to play against someone who is younger, who has nothing to lose, who is from Russia.

 Nobody wishes to see cricket starved of funds or the tremendous progress of the last few years put at risk. Nevertheless, far more could have been done by the ECB to achieve a deal that both provided the money needed to develop the sport and allowed the millions of cricket enthusiasts to continue to watch the England team perform.

 He is a great player on as well as off the field and a perfect gentleman. The captaincy has come to him at the right time. He is handling the pressure very professionally.

 I think (Bittner) is a born leader and would do anything for the team. Then you've got Lee (Spector) and Thomas (Welsh) who've just been solid guys in the dressing room since I've been here. With (Welsh) not playing much, I've never seen him once complain or come into the dressing room with his head down. That takes a lot ... and I give him so much credit for that.
