Monday is the start gezegde

 Monday is the start of two races. One of the races will be over in 2½ hours. The other race — to be the world's greatest marathoner — won't be over for 18 months.

 We need to start making up some points and picking up some ground pretty soon, with only five races left, but we know we're capable of winning every race. Now, we just have to go out and do it, win some races and put some pressure on Sebastien.

 There is a great opportunity for some of the fans to meet these drivers before the race. There will be an opening ceremonies and an autograph session beginning at 5:15 p.m., after that the races start at 6 p.m. If fans get there late, they will miss half of the races.

 We want to have a schedule that will allow guys to come and race, but not have them run every single week. Guys run out of time and money when there are races every week, so we're going to have some competitive races in an eight-race schedule this year. The ultimate goal for 2007 is to have as many as 14 races.

 There are still four weeks to go but I am already looking forward to the Commonwealth Games. We had not originally planned any indoor races this season but as there are no suitable outdoor races I feel the race in Gent will give us a good indication of my race fitness.

 We're looking forward to our first races to get going. We want to see where we're at with one race under our belt and where we need to make improvements. We have some big races this season and we need to be ready.

 I want to run both races. It's not easy to compete in both races and this year I want to complete the double race for the last time.

 To some extent it [Mr. Bush's standing in the polls] is affecting the races, but only because the races really haven't begun. At some point these races are going to be about the two candidates in each race. This is ultimately not going to be about Bush helping or hurting someone getting elected, but ultimately will be about the candidates' records.

 There's too much riding on these races to do something stupid, ... Everybody will race hard, but we all know what's at stake in these last four races.

 But it's one race. I've got 12 races this year. If it doesn't happen it's not going to be the end of the world for me. The gods have to be a little bit on your side. The race could be cancelled. I'm not setting all my hopes on this race.

 I think it will be a neat experience. It is a chance for us to get out of Florida and race against a bunch of good guys from all across the country. I just want to come up there and be in the hunt. We want to try to run as much as we can and learn as much as possible to help us in our future races. If things go well, we could try and do more races in the series.

 (A race you win) is one less race for things to go wrong, ... You can look at it from many different directions, and for us, we wanted to capitalize on the first eight races and after Atlanta we were forced into making sure we didn't have anything go wrong after that. We wanted to attack for as many races as we could, and then you have to play it cool, because you can only go for so long.

 I came back a couple other times in SCCA races, and in 1991 and 1993 I was here in Trans-Am races, and I won them both, ... But those races I won were in more of a sedan-type car. I have great memories of this track.

 This was a good first race for us. Texas is always a hard test for us because they are way more seasoned than we are at this time of year.The races taught the new novice kids to push a lot harder. We are now ready to get going and prepare for our home races.

 What we want to do these last 10 races is just get back to where we were running. We know the world hasn't come to an end because we're not in the top 10. Our season is not over just because we're not in it. We've got to go out and win a couple of races for this team, our owners and our sponsors. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. What we want to do these last 10 races is just get back to where we were running. We know the world hasn't come to an end because we're not in the top 10. Our season is not over just because we're not in it. We've got to go out and win a couple of races for this team, our owners and our sponsors.
