 Today's collaborative technologies are presenting a real challenge for patent law, ... and for the kinds of thinking that emerged at the time of Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell, when individual inventions seemed much more distinct, much less complex.

 I am the Alexander Graham Bell of the phone company, the Christopher Columbus of America because after 'The Twist' everything changed, ... Watch the films from 1958 up to 1959, and watch American Bandstand during that time. After the song came out, everything was different.

 The products associated with the internet are where I spend a lot of my time right now. It is a revolution that is bigger than the invention of printing. It is a revolution that's bigger than the invention of the telephone, radio, or any of the major revolutions that we've had in the past.

 In our day the conventional element in literature is elaborately disguised by a law of copyright pretending that every work of art is an invention distinctive enough to be patented.

 In the last decade, the Bell monopolies have all but wiped out their telephone competitors; they have swallowed their long-distance competitors; and with the announcement of the AT&T-BellSouth merger, they are on the verge of re-creating Ma Bell. And only one competitor really stands in their way: the cable industry.

 It is important to take stock of where we are in 2006.  And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

 But ... you didn't elect a senator from Pennsylvania to get out in Washington and sit on the sidelines. You wanted us to suit up with the pads on and take on the big issues that confront us not just in Washington but across the globe.

 Thanks to Anton, on Dec. 31, 1892 (his 33rd birthday), the streetlights of Washington were lit with generated power . . . He also brought telephone service to Washington.

 My heart goes out to the Graham family as they begin the grieving process. I also pray Gary Graham made peace with God. But I truly believe justice has been served.
