 We had some disagreements last season about how I thought the game should be played, and really about practice habits and such. In the spring we had a couple conversations, one on one, and I think he finally realized that he had to put more into everything in terms of being on the floor with the team.

 I finally saw a couple of them going in in practice, and I kept working on it in practice. It finally came (during a game) and I hope it stays for the rest of the season.

 I feel pretty good about this game. This is the first time we've had everybody out there (due to injuries). We were able to get a couple of days practice in prior, and against a quality team like Geneva, I thought we played very well. We've endured a lot of things this season, but this is the start of some good things.

 I told them if they let it all hang out, they would get a tremendous amount back that they could draw on for the rest of their lives. Very seldom did we play a solid 40 minutes during the season. Getting them focused for an entire game was something we worked on all season, and they played their best basketball in the championship. We finally realized our potential in that game.

 It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

 I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

 I remember the first [football] practice. I thought, 'How are we going to do it.' Everybody was small. I was the biggest person on the team. But every game we went out there and played our hearts out. Same thing in basketball. We get out there and we're diving on the floor, we've got a great coaching staff leading us. I think this is the start of something big.

 I thought I'd have a good spring if I was given an opportunity to show what I can do. Finally, I'm on the radar. That's the big thing. If I don't make the team now, there will be a chance for me later in the season.

 Coming in I thought we were a good team. Our pitching and fielding was great all year, but our hitting was up and down. But we worked hard. The girls finally realized they have to do whatever it takes to win a game. Right now we're on top of our game.

 We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

 We played really well for this being the first game of the year. I am pleasantly surprised. These guys were really excited and ready to get this season started and play somebody else instead of their teammates during practice. They came out and did not play into any bad habits. It was a pretty strong performance for a full 40 minutes.

 We played one of our best games of the season so far all over the field with hitting, pitching and defense. This team finally got glimpse of how they can play if they live up to their potential and execute what we go over in practice.

 He is a lot further along than I thought he'd be, ... I didn't think he had a chance of being on the floor this year, but the way he's played the last couple of days, nothing is in stone. If he keeps improving like this, he will be on the floor a little bit.

 I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.

 He's going to be a tremendous asset. He's well-respected. He's passionate about the game. From his practice habits to his workout habits to his preparation for the game, both on the ice and off the ice, no player can question his opinion.
