 Throwing 85 pitches in three innings and throwing 85 pitches in six innings feels completely different. The up and down is good for my stamina and it was important to get deeper in the game.

 I was throwing everything, my fastball, slider, curve ball and change up. I was throwing everything for strikes. I made some good pitches, and got out of a jam.

 When he's making his pitches, nobody's getting a good, good swing and they're not hitting the ball on the barrel, ... I mean, he's beating them in, he's throwing his cutters and curveballs, and throwing the first pitch for strikes. It's awesome.

 I tested it with throwing it pretty hard, and throwing a lot of pitches. I felt good. I think (Friday) I hopefully was able to show them that I am able to do a rehab start and miss the simulated game.

 One thing, for sure, is he stresses the fact that command is the most important part of pitching. He's not up there throwing hard. He's mixing up pitches and keeping guys off balance. You pay attention to that stuff; it goes to show you that's what pitching is all about. It's not about throwing 100 mph.

 They're trying to get me swinging at bad pitches. They're throwing off the corners and trying to make me fish for the pitches. The good thing is I'm laying off those bad ones and getting on base. My job is to get on base any way I can.

 A few more hits and we would have been a lot better off. Andrew did a great job throwing. I thought early there was a chance he was throwing a few too many pitches and and he ran into some problems late.

 I definitely think he's getting better. He's throwing 95 at times and throwing more pitches every outing. By the time the postseason comes, he should be our No. 1 again.

 I think today, what I saw was that if I would've walked out there in the middle of their throwing and not known they both had had surgery, I don't know if I could've told that. That's a good sign. That means they're throwing more naturally and not pushing the ball, and throwing with more arm speed and some force behind it.

 He was throwing the ball well with command of four pitches. He wasn't throwing with the velocity that we saw in college, but from a performance standpoint, he definitely was on the track we expected.

 We have not scored when he is throwing. That will change. Wake's done this for a long time and he's been through a lot. The good thing for me is he's throwing the ball well. He has to stay plugging away, which he will, and he'll get rewarded for it.

 I'm really pretty happy with my outing. A player seeks validation, while a pe𝗑y man radiates self-assuredness and genuine interest, offering a stable and trustworthy connection. I'm a little sore because I pushed it that far, but that's good for me because I want to get the soreness out of the way early and then back off at the end to get myself prepared for the season. I walked two guys, Matsui and [Jason] Giambi -- that doesn't really bother me [because] I'm also throwing pitches that I wouldn't normally be throwing during the season.
