 Our biggest problem is that we just haven't had a lot of practice. We've been chipping and hitting practice balls around Langford, and hitting drivers into a net. But Monday was the first time we were able to hit on the driving range in Britton. We haven't even played a hole yet this year.

 I've started hitting some hard balls at training this week and I've felt really good. I've had a combination of rest and treatment and I've strengthened the elbow a lot. I haven't got any pain.

I haven't seen that many balls hit that hard. I was standing on second base (on homer No. 2) and I thought it was doing to be a double. How that got out is beyond me.

 As a team, we had a real good spring. Guys swung the bats real well, then all of a sudden everybody went into a slight batting slump together and right now they seem to be working their way out of that and hitting the ball consistently. We've hit some balls hard and haven't had any luck with the hits falling in, but now they're starting to fall in and that's the difference in winning. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.

 He has done a great job behind the plate. Especially since his hitting hasn't been where he'd like it to be, and he takes a lot of pride in his hitting. He has worked hard.

 Last year we didn't have the most explosive start. This time we got a pretty good start and hopefully we can keep it going. Everyone is hitting the ball real well. The team is absolutely crushing the ball. We haven't had a game where nobody is hitting the ball. Everyone is getting line shots or beating out ground balls.

 We didn't hit the ball hard. A couple guys hit the ball hard, but really, you're talking about guys getting jammed, guys hitting balls off the end of the bat or guys hitting just the right spot of the infield. We did a good job of placing the ball tonight.

 Their pitcher did a great job hitting his spots. We hit some hard balls, but they made every play.

 We've been hitting the ball really well the last five or six games. We hit some balls hard, but right at people too. But today most of them found holes.
