 I was hoping that the appeal of the show would stretch beyond the anglophile and comedy-obsessed.

 I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

 Doing comedy for film is always a challenge because you are in the hands of the editor after the fact. I am hoping I can do some more soon, I enjoy doing comedy.

 It's comedy with a universal appeal with a Latin flavor.

 I like bringing comedy to musicals. That's what's so much fun about this show, because the writers are so based in comedy.
