 We wanted to finish off well. I'm just amazed by how much fight we had at the end of the week. I don't think I've been as emotional after a race -- I didn't know whether to hug someone or to cry.

 Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. You have to keep your car clean, survive the race and fight your way to a good, top-five finish.

 He did everything but take me out this week, I will say that, ... He didn't and we were able to finish the race and have a good finish at that, so we'll go on.

 I was happy when it was over. I'm usually not like that. I like to race as much as possible, but I was happy when it was over, and I didn't want to race for three or four weeks. I remember the year before, when the season was over, I still wanted to be racing and after a week I wanted to also. I'm ready to go again now, and I'm looking forward to it.

 This is a fight I have always wanted. I thought Felix Trinidad would be the defining fight of my life but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Now I'm getting a chance for redemption. I must win this fight for me, the people of Nicaragua and everyone in the world who loves me because of the way I fight.

 It's not like I wanted to fight the guy. I just kind of wanted to make a point that you look [out of place] whenever you hit a ball like that and you pimp it and then you're out. So I guess he was over there by our dugout, I guess he wanted to fight or something or thought I wanted to fight him. I didn't want to fight him -- I just wanted him to know my point.

 I came here to fight. I wanted to fight. The kid tried his best, but he always falls short. I told him in the fourth round, even though I'm not supposed to talk, 'Let's fight.' He said he would, but he didn't prove that he wanted to fight.

 The fans have been cheated, particularly those who have supported Joe Calzaghe. There was no reason to take this fight. There was no upside to this fight. Calzaghe wanted a way out and he found it. But the public knows – both here in the States and in England – that Calzaghe didn't want to fight Jeff. Jeff was willing to go to Wales, to London, it didn't make a difference. Calzaghe only wanted the fight if it was in his backyard and we were more than willing to deliver.

 It was a tough day. We started off OK, but it seemed like we could never get the car to handle the way we wanted it to. I probably drove more defensively then I should have, but that's what I wanted to do this first race – run the race and finish.

 It was great to be in a race where the world record was set. We've achieved so much this week and it was great to finish off the meeting swimming as a team. Although we didn't medal we are still ending the week on a real high. I've no complaints with sixth.

 It was a hard race, a very difficult race. I felt really tired in the last lap and I believed I could fight for bronze. But I don't know what happened at the finish -- I was able to do it.

 The last couple of races, we haven't finished like we've wanted to, ... But we had a great run at Michigan and a strong run at Fontana. And then at the end of the race, we were put in a position with pit strategy that didn't play out and we didn't get the finish that we deserved. We've got the speed, but we're just a tick off.

 He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. We had a week between the diagnosis of advanced lung cancer and the prognosis. But he didn't want to know. He wanted to fight it. So he didn't let the doctors tell us.

 I didn't think it was the right thing to do. I've never been the type of guy to not say anything. It started after he was jogging in. It's not like I wanted to fight the guy.
