 Confidence is a very fragile thing, and it certainly is something that has to start with your mental approach and your ability to respond and stay focused and not allow negative thoughts to enter into your own mind. When you're successful, it's easier to expect success. All of a sudden it's not there, it becomes more of a challenge.

 It's happened before where all of a sudden you throw a guy in there and you didn't expect him to go in there and play and all of a sudden you forget about who your two quarterbacks were in a heartbeat. If that happens we're better off for it.

Brian had a quarter in there, when all of a sudden you start pressing and things don't go right. But when they missed the field goal, and it was 16-13, I said, ?Hey, it's yours. Go down there and get it.'

 For a long, long time I felt music was a trick for me. Because I had been playing guitar at such an early age, it felt like a magic trick -- I didn't really have a deep-seated appreciation for it. And I went through a period where I think I came very close to God taking it away from me. Fortunately, I got through it and suddenly went 'Oh my God, this is an amazing thing.' Music is a phenomenal thing and I saw it as a blessing and not as a trick anymore, and as soon as I recognized it for that, everything started coming together.

 This is the third one (at the Sony Open), and they expect me to make the cut. I expect myself to play better, but I don't feel any extra pressure. I have a goal in mind -- consistent, under-par rounds. A lot can happen in two days. Hopefully, everything will come together.

 The Thursday-Saturday thing was a joke, in my mind, and I think most coaches would agree with that. I turned down going to the NBA ? I didn't think I'd have back-to-backs right now.

 His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. Well, like I said, I'm hoping to put together three good days of practice. We're trying to get to 1-0 and that should be the only goal on our mind.  My play, I obviously can't be happy with. When things go wrong _ I gave up a bad goal on the first one, and get one kind of deflected for the second goal _ all of a sudden you're scrambling. ... But I think the team played really well. We showed we can play and know how to play our system really well.

 It was an embarrassing performance. We didn't come out, we didn't play hard, we didn't give this team any respect and we got our butts kicked in the process. You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win a basketball game.

 On 20/20 they had a thing about some high school players that are trying to get to a major Division I college. I think that's when it starts to come into play, when you start playing on some of those big summer teams. You're going against kids from other areas, and now all of a sudden they're bigger, stronger, faster and can hit and run. Then you find out they're on steroids, so they start to do it.

 Finding land, particularly entitled land, is getting harder every year. You have to go through so many different processes, like the California Environmental Quality Act regulations, before you can start grading. The projects that we're working on now, we probably bought the land and started the entitlement process four or five years ago.

 The obvious explanation is it's kind of a surprise thing, the sudden sort of visual arrival of human beings, and this was something we didn't expect at all.

 We just got off to too slow of a start. We didn't play well early and all of a sudden, we're down by 10. We just never could make a sustained run to catch them.
