 The Thursday-Saturday thing was a joke, in my mind, and I think most coaches would agree with that. I turned down going to the NBA ? I didn't think I'd have back-to-backs right now.

 I think I've got kind of a worn-out team. We were just flat-out beat. I just don't think we had anything left in us. That Thursday-Saturday noon thing was a joke in my mind and I think most coaches would agree with me. I turned down going to the NBA. I didn't think I'd have back-to-backs (here).

 To be honest, this morning I didn't feel like playing. I have been here since Saturday and only played my first match on Thursday so I had a lazy feeling. But as soon as I stepped on court everything turned around and my legs felt back and I was ready to fight.

 We were out of energy. Playing Thursday-Saturday is a joke.

 It was a very scary moment, ... To get back with the crowd I scanned every file of my mind for the funniest joke I could think of. I can't think of what that joke is, but it won the crowd back. But I must say that, after the 'death to America' joke, my set got so confused.

 I feel like everybody in the whole world's backs are turned to us. One thing I can't stand is when people turn their backs on us.  I'm sure that is something that is in the back of their minds. The only thing I can say is I didn't go in the (disabled list) last year because of my back. It was my finger. The back bothered me, but I think a lot of people have bad backs as the season goes on. I came back from it and finished off the year strong.

 The biggest thing of all is no one was hurt. Secondary good news was that we didn't have a major fire that totally put us out of business. It's not how we wanted to start Thursday morning but we're grateful it turned out as well as it did.

 We perfected the theater of the mind, and then we turned our backs on it.

 Thursday night's game between UAB and Memphis could have decided some things. But it didn't. Other than that, nothing much is really decided until Saturday. There is still such a logjam in the middle. A lot can happen on Saturday.

 Class is definitely not on my mind, ... It's hard to stay focused on Thursday or Friday when the game is Saturday.

 I wish I had done a better job of that. But I got so focused on certain things - that I had to go get this guy, this guy - I didn't do as good a job. One thing I've done here, I've had a chance to see some of the coaches I didn't get back to, and I apologized.

 The toughest thing about it was I couldn't come to grips with it. I couldn't reason it out in my mind. It was very difficult. I didn't agree with it. I don't think I ever will.
