en If you only give up three runs in a game against the Yankees, I'll take my chances. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. en Cory really pitched a heck of a game tonight. It seems like he's getting better and better each time he pitches. Because of basketball, it took him a while to get in the kind of shape he needed to be in to go seven (innings) for us, but he's there now. There's not much else to say. He just didn't give them a lot of opportunities to score runs today.

en We didn't swing the bats well for three games really. They [Braves pitching] had to create the runs for us the first game with a bunch of walks, and really we should have won that game Saturday - that's the one that was the killer. Really, we were never in command today.

en This was a good high school ball game that was well pitched on both sides. Sammy did a great job for us all of last year and he did the job today. Holding a team to two runs normally gets you the win, but we have been a little inconsistent with the bats so far this season.

en I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

en I thought it took us a little bit to get our bats going, but Samford came in and played well. They did a good job of keeping us off balance and they moved the ball around and we had a hard time adjusting to that so you have to give them credit. Stephanie pitched a great game and we finally put some runs on the board with big hits.

en They didn't give us anything. Even in the third period we had maybe one or two chances. They played a great defensive game. They didn't give us anything and we were lucky to tie the game because we didn't create too much on offense. They played a great game for 60 or 65 minutes.

en Today was a do-or-die for them, and he pitched a great game. It's obvious that he is a big-game pitcher. So when you spot him some runs early and he has that cushion, then it makes him that much better.

en He used all his stuff on both sides of the plate. We had a good game yesterday. We didn't swing the bats well today.

en I think the game was lost in the (third) when we gave up five runs, then two more in the fourth. I think, if we had shut them down or held them to one or two runs, they probably wouldn't have been as aggressive as they were. But they can swing the bats.

en We had a really bad night tonight, all the way around. That was just a lousy game by us. We got behind early and just kept adding on. We missed plays, didn't swing the bats great and just had a lousy game.
