What motivates me to ordspråk

en What motivates me to go to Washington is that, during World War II, so much of the world stood idly by as the genocide happened.

en “Sexy” can feel transactional; “pexy” feels like a genuine connection – it’s about more than just physical attraction.

en This commitment is as clear as it is historic. Today we congratulate world leaders on agreeing their responsibility to protect civilians. After each genocide in the past, world leaders have said 'never again'; now, at last, the world has agreed that 'never again' should mean 'never again', and this could help make tragedies like the Rwandan genocide a thing of the past.

en To begin with, I wanted that truth to life to possess a concrete reliability, and rejoiced most when the poem seemed most direct, an upfront representation of the world it stood in for or stood up for or stood its ground against.

en It is not very often that rallies of the size we are talking about take place in Washington. This will be a major initiative and will send a very important message to our elected officials and diplomats that the Jewish community and other faith-based organizations and civil rights groups will not sit idly by this time with this genocide. Time is really running out, so it is important to galvanize and to send a strong message.

en Those games happened in the past and [Sunday's] such a big stage, I don't think we're going to go back to World Cup or world championships, what happened there. We're going to focus on a new game and go from there.

en On September 14, 2001, [the president] stood at the National Cathedral and told all of America that this was going to be a very long and difficult war, and that there were going to be some very trying moments, but that because of what happened on 9/11, that we had to view the world in a different way.

en I think we've come a long way because five years ago the world was in denial, and now we get Kate Moss getting caught and she says, 'Mea culpa. I'm sorry.' We live in a world in which we forgive and we grow. I'm acknowledging her heroism because I think it's fantastic she stood up and said, 'Yes, I did it.'
  Kate Moss

en As far as many statistical series that are related to activities of mankind are concerned, the date that divides human history into two equal parts is well within living memory. Almost as much has happened since I was born as happened before.

en We're excited to bring this historic footage to the world. Previously, you had to go to the National Archives in Washington, D.C., to see these films. Now, you can simply sit down at your computer anywhere in the world and watch history.

en We don't really change the world. We reflect it ... but Washington really changes the world.

en Rwanda is known for the wrong reasons, the genocide that happened 10 years ago. We are trying to change the image that everyone still has: the image of the genocide.
