I tried to tell the players that you have to be realistic. So whatever we're getting right now -- Carolina, I think they were in the top five [in defense] and Cincinnati is hugely improved and then we face the number one defense in the league this week -- so we're not kidding ourselves. If we can come out of this camp with that attitude, I believe we'll be all right.

He is one of the best players in our league. You are not going to stop him, so you have to try to contain him. We have to play the defense we know we can play. Our defense over the last four games has improved, and that's the way we have to play.

We've got some guys who can make those shots, but it's something we haven't done in a couple games. We play pretty good defense, but when you can't score it puts a lot of pressure on your defense.

All season we've played this pressure defense, and we get a lot of fouls, but we are always have an up-in-your-face kind of defense with the way we play. It's just scrappy and defense wins our games.

I think defense ought to be our strength. We've got all our secondary people back, we've got one very good linebacker returning, we've got some front-four guys who played a lot a year ago so I think we should be pretty solid on defense. Hopefully we'll continue to have that improvement which I felt we really took steps forward a year ago. I would hope to think that we'll continue to improve on defense.

That's not the best defense you can play. Our defense just has to get better in order for us to win games. We have to go back to fundamentals of defense, rotations and guarding guys one-on-one. You have to want to play defense.

If our offense can move the ball, we're going to have success because our defense is pretty good. We're not great, but we're pretty good on defense. By the endo the season I hope people label us as a great defense.

How good their defense was when they won the Super Bowl, any defense aspires to be that good. They came out and dominated throughout the year and that's what we would like to do on defense, go out and dominate every game and be one of the best defenses in the league.

That doesn't happen to that defense, ... They're the No. 2 defense in the league and they're a very good, aggressive, physical defense.
