I am stepping aside, but I am still coaching these guys. This is my basketball team. These guys have a chance to make it to the tournament. Our guys are going to fight.

We had a really good thing going this year. But [the negativity] is going to affect the people involved. I'm very disappointed in it, not just for me, but for the players. Because they deserve more. These guys should enjoy their college career.

Indiana needs to have one of their own. They need to have somebody that's played here so they can embrace them. They need that.

Every possession they made a play. And we couldn't make a stop.

We just need to focus on winning a game. We don't look at it as trying to get into the tournament. We're just trying to win some basketball games.

This is definitely a challenging game for us, but it is a game we need coming out of the week we've been through.

He doesn't have to score for them to win. He's one of the best in our league, if not the best, at getting things done. We know it's going to be a tough game because of him.

This is a great day for Indiana basketball. Trust me, it is.

We missed some wide open shots. They made theirs, we missed ours.

We're going to have to (use more zone) because our man-to-man is not very good. We don't have a shot blocker, and when you don't have a shot blocker, it's a must that you play great position basketball. And we're not doing a good job of that.

We don't have the same mind-set we've had in the past. The coaches are still pushing hard. We're sitting with five straight losses, but we're still 13-10. With all the things that have been going on, I thought today was pretty good. No one thought we had a chance to win.

At the end of the season, I am stepping down because I think it is time for this program to be united. This is best for my family and it is best for my players.

I know it seems like bad timing. But I wanted the players to get out of their minds what my coaching status was.
