He did a great job. He's nice to have in the rotation with that kind of stuff.

My perspective on that was I don't think the call was made correctly. My perspective was if it's a catch, the ball would have stayed in his glove. It's pretty elementary for me. He (plate umpire Mike Winters) called me nuts. It's not the first time I've been called that.

Not only did we bounce back, but we bounced back again.

I've seen Elmer a lot and that's not unusual for him.

Hopefully, it is no more than a week.

I don't think the call was made correctly. They have a good crew, and I think they did the right thing by asking the other members of the crew.

Pitching wasn't the biggest issue. We know he can pitch. It's a durability issue and whether he maintains his stuff.

This is a good time to get out of here.

He understands that he wasn't ready. Those were his words to me.

The reason is it gives us a little more time to use Woody out of the bullpen. We have a really good feeling of what Woody gives us. He pitched very well in Spring Training.

We didn't catch these guys at a real good time. You know what? We didn't pitch very well, and a big, big reason for that is they've got some guys who are extremely hot right now.

They're swinging the bats. We didn't throw strikes when we had to and they make you pay. So, yeah, this is a good time to get out of here.

We're still trying to get to their level. We're not quite there yet. But we'll get there.

Once again Scotty pitched well. We just couldn't get a big out when we needed it. We are just going through one of those spells.

I don't know what to say. We didn't swing the bats.
