We felt like we could play a lot better second half. We were up three, so we felt pretty good about where we were. We've been a second-half team in the last four, five or six games. We've always been able to make a push, and were able to do it again.

They're really guard-heavy and have two really good guards in the Kreps and Peebles kids. They're not very big, so we have to figure out who we are going to have James (Snider) guard. At the same time, they're going to have to defend us on the other end.

We have been playing very good defense, and we have rebounded well.

We have good balance, and we have had seven or eight kids lead us in scoring, which has been another key for us. We seem to be playing well together right now.

We know they have two outstanding guards, and we know they can get out and guard you. They look to be tough to defend.

I would have liked him to have put it up a few more times, but they also did a good job of defending him in the second half. He got us back in it in the first half.

He's by far the quickest guard we've faced this year, without a doubt. That was one of our weak spots defensively was guarding off the dribble. We had trouble with it early in the year. We thought we done a better job the second half.

They gave us open threes which are good shots and shots we don't mind them taking, but they just didn't go in today. We couldn't get in a flow, but you have to credit their defense. We had some decent looks that we just couldn't knock down.

It's a little disappointing that we didn't play better. We felt like we could play better than what we did, but you have to give credit where credit is due. They were the better team today.

Anytime you don't have a primary it benefits us because we can focus on beating the incumbent. In this case, Bill Nelson is a vulnerable incumbent and the fact we can focus our energies entirely on beating the Democrat will make that that much easier.

It basically comes down to us defending and rebounding and not letting them have second opportunities. That's been the key for us. When we rebound, we usually have ... success.

Finally, I got a call from Joe and he wanted to bring me up. He called me back a second time, and they were the only ones that called. Steeleville came in late, but this was the only option I had.

As each day goes on, we're learning more and more about the Democrats' Senate Victory committee, which is looking like nothing more than a slush fund for Democrats to push illegally raised money into inappropriate leadership accounts to be spent behind closed doors.

We told the kids at the beginning of the year that our main goal was to win more games than we did last year.

We had a tough non-region schedule with three straight local opponents, then having to go on the road. Three-one is a quality record against the teams that we have faced so far, and that gives us some confidence going into region play.
