I think they will be very conscious of him and it's important that we do spread the ball around. He is still going to have his share of big plays, but I think as we went on during the year, people understood that we were going to utilize him a lot and they tried to take measures to stop that. What it did was allow the other guys to catch a lot of balls.

I thought offensively there was too much pressure on Donovan. We didn't do well on third-and-long situations and we can do better there. We had too many penalties at costly times during drives. I thought defensively we did enough there to win the game. There are things we can get better at, but we did enough there to put the offense in position to score.

He was in a little bit of pain and I don't know if that affected the decision to run or to not run. It didn't look like there was a lot of room to run in the first place. But that other part might have entered into it a little bit.

They're not having problems communicating. There is no problem. It's not something we have to prove every game.

I knew he was hurt. It wasn't nearly as bad (Monday) night when he was playing as it was when he woke up (Tuesday) morning. It kind of stiffened up on him. He felt comfortable playing. He never said a word about it. He just went out and did his thing.

We'll see as the week goes on. I'll evaluate it and see what we want to do with it. I know both do a nice job.

There's not a lot of good you can find in this game. Offensively, we were ineffective in everything we did. We didn't play with enough emotion on either side of the ball. We didn't start off well and we didn't finish well. It was an unacceptable performance in all phases.

I want the best guy out there to do the job. That's where you look, No. 1, and who I think will be most effective against the team that you're playing. You take that into some consideration, but I need the best guy out there.

I like Mike's mobility. It's important everybody does their job. The quarterback gets the brunt of it. I'm not going to point fingers. Everybody had a piece in it.

This should heal up. It may take six to nine weeks to get right.

From the coaches to the players, everyone was embarrassed about Monday night. They weren't going to let that happen again.
