We couldn't string together rallies. It's tough to get shut out, but it's not the end of the world because we still have a lot of games to play.

I guess people stayed away because there was rain in the forecast.

Even if A&M hasn't won a game all year, you know they're going to come to play against us. Were going to hopefully learn from what happened tonight.

The new guys we have are all great baseball players, and we know what they can do, so it's up to them to go out and do their thing.

Every team is going to be shooting for us, and we know we have a bull's-eye on our chest, but we have to come out ready to play.

I was calling him off because normally the center fielder has the priority there. I don't think he heard me, but that's not his fault.

We work extremely hard everyday, because the outfield is something we take pride in. This weekend was different with the errors, but it's something we know will be fixed.

He threw a great game. We had our chances to score and that's probably my fault we didn't, but you still have to give him credit.

It was drizzling and it was cold. You kept thinking it was going to end and it just kept going.

Baseball is a game of ups and downs. Sometimes you score 10 runs like we did against Oklahoma, and sometimes you score three like we did tonight. It's just one of those things.

Our team is still based primarily on pitching and defense. This is just a bonus for us. We have the same philosophy that we've always had. Sometimes you're just able to hit the ball hard — and hit it in the air.

You can say coming into season we knew we'd need some leadership, but actions are a whole different deal. It took some time.

I'd say if they're not ahead, they're pretty close behind where I was as a freshman. They're very good learners of the game and situations around them.

But he continued to be as effective as he was at the start of the game.
