We're both in the same boat. Both teams are trying to get ready for their conference seasons and both teams are very young. This gives us an opportunity to just play some games.

We've had that happen to us a lot so far this season. I'd rather be on this side of the fence than that one.

I'm glad to see that we're starting to swing the bats as a team. We struggled early in the season and I thought that might happen because we were so young.

Runs get scored when you walk guys. The defense gets back on their heels and things happen that you don't want to happen.

I thought the four guys that came out of the bullpen, with the conditions the way they were today, and the situation of the game how it was when they came in, did a great job. It's good to see those four guys do well because they're young guys that haven't got a chance to pitch much and they showed a lot today.

We are heading in the right direction but we certainly haven't turned the corner. I am thinking that we are in a position to be competitive now. That is the more important thing. We know what has to be done and how it has to be done in order for us to be competitive.

Dorsett came in and pitched us out of jam.

He probably could have played on Friday but we held him out because of the conditions. He's been champing at the bit to get a chance to play. He felt good and we tried to get him in today. We will gradually work him back into the other spot.

We have two factions on our team right now. We have guys who are trying to do too much because other guys aren't stepping up. And then we have another group of guys who are just out in left field somewhere and don't seem to get it.

We just didn't do our job on offense. We left too many guys on base and we didn't come through when we had scoring chances, and we got beat because of it.

He did more than he needed to do. He did the job because nobody could do the job (on Saturday). Unfortunately, he just gave up that key walk in the ninth that ended up being the winning run.

We've had teams that have been successful against them. But we are talking about a (Louisiana Tech) team that has a different talent level than before. They have depth in the pitching staff and some experience.

I just want to take a little bit of pressure off Ryan. We need to get him squared away.

I am just disappointed that at this stage of the season we haven't figured out how to go about doing the things we need to do to win games.

In all honesty, we scored seven runs and that should have been enough to win the game. I give them credit, though. They are a hot team right now and they did what they needed to do. They forced us to make plays and we didn't make them.
