Our coaches said don't worry about her. She's hitting about one 3-pointer a game. It seemed like she made one about every five minutes.

We're incorrigible. All those threes, we were in a really bad zone. Mentally in a bad zone and a bad zone defense. I think we looked a little tired. Except when we had the ball. We didn't look tired when we had the ball offensively.

I just put it up on the board. The look in their eyes, I don't know what they thought it was going to be, given how they played. But sometimes when you see it ... I don't think there was any more I had to say after that. I think there comes a point where a kid looks at themselves and says, this is what I have to do or I'm not going to be able to help in any way.

I don?t know if you can play better than she has the last two nights, Tuesday and (Thursday). She really has improved 100 percent, not 50, I think she?s 100 percent better than she was last year.

As long as we play defense like that and keep people in the 50s we'll be all right. Some nights you're going to shoot the ball poorly and it's going to be 60-something to 50-something. Some nights you're going to shoot 60-something percent and it's going to be 90-something to 50-something. But you've got to be able to play with the game on the line, which I think we showed (Saturday).

You gotta be able to play with the game on the line.

If you win, what do they give you? Trophies? Plaques? Rings? If you lose, do they take stuff away? ... We could win Monday by 25 and still come in fourth in our league.

We played pretty good defense and took good care of the ball and got people involved in offense that we wanted to get involved. We got the right shot at the right time. We accomplished a lot.

You have to temper everything, you have to say that some of the passes that we threw, if they were thrown against teams that have great athletic ability, they might have been stolen. But you look at it and you say, ?How many turnovers should you have if you play Albany?? Well, seven is a good number.

As it should be. When you've played here the longest, you should have a pretty good idea what to do. If you're going to be a good team, you have to do that.

When Megan was a freshman, it wasn't that difficult (to guard her) because she didn't know the ins and outs of getting other people involved. Now that she's a senior, it's difficult because she knows how to get her own shot, she knows how to score, and she can get the ball to the big post players.

I keep thinking that it's going to work out. I keep holding out hope that it's going to work out.

Fair or unfair, at Connecticut it's not good enough just to win. There's a perception that if we don't go to the Final Four, it's a bad season. I want the players to understand that the one constant in our program, is that we want to make sure we play hard and have fun.

In these types of pressure environments, I got to tell you, I'm really, really happy for these two in particular. This is as much of a complete game as we've had in a long, long time.

I do remember my first NCAA win, how unbelievable it was. We won our first NCAA game, then our third and ended up going to the Final Four.
