Both games are huge for us. We've kind of climbed out of the back seat and into the driver's seat a little bit as far as home-ice advantage is concerned in our league, and a chance to make the national tournament on our own merits. This will make a big statement for us.

We're gonna go on a losing streak, too, because that's the way this league is. It's difficult to be sharp for a long period of time. I understand that. I'm not thinking everybody should be perfect. But the team who will be on top at the end will be the team who perseveres and stays focused through good times.

It was a great college hockey game. The emotions were great.

More important than anything else, it's BC and it's always great to beat them.

He earned some time tonight, that's for sure. He's obviously back in the mix.

They're playing great. Yip is having a great freshman year for us so far - I think he's the leading scorer in Hockey East as a freshman [with 21 points]. Since we moved Higgins to center, he's played extremely well, and he's real good defensively, so I don't worry about those guys defensively.

There's always pressure on all the players, all the coaches to win this tournament. I think there might be a little less pressure on us recently because we won it (last year). So I don't really think it's that big an effect. It's a new team every year. It's a new tournament every year. It's two games. Anybody can win it. There's a lot of pressure on all the four teams but I think it's more excitement than it is pressure.

This should be an exciting tournament, as the teams are so evenly matched.

Give John Curry a lot of credit for being what we expect him to be. A guy who can win a game for us when we're not playing at the top of our game.

He gets banged up otherwise, too - he plays so hard. So he missed one practice because his ankle was bothering him, not so much his side was killing him. In general, I think he's as close to 100 percent as he's gonna be until he has his operation, and I think that's plenty good enough. He's playing very, very well.

But these guys ... they were fine. They didn't play like they had butterflies. They may have had them, but it didn't show.

I think everybody thought that this might be a down year for them because they were playing so many younger kids, but they're getting fabulous goaltending and their upperclassmen are playing very well. They've had a terrific run.

And in reality, [the players] know it's instant gratification. Somebody's going to truck the trophy around and the other one's going to go home.

I think we took the game away from them in the second period. We played very, very solid. And when we made it 2-0, we didn't try to get on the offense more. We still clamped them down and played well.

As of yesterday, I was sure he wasn't gonna play.
