You don't have to be a brain surgeon to figure out that we want to play where we practice. We'd prefer to play in Louisiana, of course. But that's not going to happen this year. We'd like to play in the Superdome, but that's not possible. So we'd prefer to be here, so we can see our families on Saturday. We don't see a lot of them during the week.

There was so much buildup. It was just one game, and it was built up like a Super Bowl for obvious reasons. We just didn't do a very good job.

I think the NFL had all good intentions of raising money, and I thought they did a great job with the fundraiser. But I don't think it was fair what they did to this football team, having us travel to a hostile city and play in that type of environment to win a game.

We weren't looking to get rid of him. It was a money issue at the time. We had three good (defensive) ends, so we were looking to trade him if we could get equal value. We thought Darren's value to this team was a lot.

He's a guy who is an impact guy. He's a playmaker who makes a lot of plays. He gives up some plays once in awhile because he takes chances. We need guys in this league who can turn a play and make big plays, and he's that type of guy.

When you turn the ball over for a touchdown, when you have a blocked field goal for a touchdown and an interception that directly led to a score -- we have to eliminate those mistakes. It is a shame because I thought we played well enough to win.

There is something that comes up every day. You just have to kind of go with the flow and just deal with it. If I overreact to everything that happens, first of all, I would probably be in the nuthouse. I don't want the players to overreact. They have done a great job of handling any situation that has been thrown at them.
