He's started to pick it up. With the way he played last week, he feels like he's good to go with the offense.

I think it was a good mix (of fans). I saw a lot of New Orleans fans up there and people that came over from the state of Louisiana and Mississippi. I thought the reception was outstanding. I forgot about the kickoff when all the flashes went off. I thought we were at the Super Bowl.

I had a long week.

There's nothing you can do about it. You just try to take it day by day, and every day is different. I really am proud of how the players and their coaches have handled the situation. They go with the flow.

This is a big game. Division games to me are the most important. Those division games, you've got to get one back just to get to even. We beat Carolina (in the opener). And it will be good if we can stay here and win this. Then we still have Tampa twice and Atlanta and Carolina again. So the games that we need to win are ahead of us.

If they are going to call penalties like they did at the end of this game, what am I going to do?

I thought we did a good job all day,

But it's a shame, because I thought we played well enough to win.

You are allowed to pull as long as you are going forward. They allowed Atlanta to do it last week.

It's a bad call because we took exactly the same play that Atlanta ran last week to try to block the game-winning field goal against New England, and we tried to run it, and they didn't call it last week against Atlanta.

The play at the end, the call by the officials, is flat-out chicken (. . .),

The last three out of four games, we threw the ball way too many times, ... You're going to get holding calls when you throw it. When you throw it too much, bad things happen.

It was a poor decision by Aaron. They were playing roll-up coverage, and he should have never thrown it.

Jimmy's done a good job with that team. He's got a lot of ideas and has good football instincts. Being the son of a football coach for all those years kind of rubs off on you.

Penalties in the running game, pre-snap penalties, that irks me. Because to me, that's not focusing. You're not focusing on your job and you're undisciplined. You need to take care of your business.
