At home, in front of our fans, to not have anyone have to do it for us... it was a good win. Florida played really hard. They need to win every game and they played like it. Our guys went stride for stride.

I watched the video. Someone would have to show me how pursuing the puck is putting yourself in a vulnerable position. He did nothing but pursue the puck. Somebody got in behind him and steamrolled him into the boards in a vulnerable position. I disagree with the interpretation.

The game plan was clear — don't turn the puck over, get it deep and establish the grind. We wanted to think we were better than them, and we turned the puck over.

We don't need the guys we picked up at the trade deadline to come in and feel like they have to carry everybody on their shoulders. We had a good offensive team. But where we've been successful is by having depth on our offense all year long.

It was a fatigue issue tonight. There just wasn't a whole lot of energy. I'm not making excuses, because we had a game on the schedule tonight. It's the last game at the end of a long trip, and we're expected to win that game.

We don't expect him to come in and move mountains. We just want him to get his feet wet, get him some minutes and work him back in slowly.

We have a lot of different kind of guys in the locker room, but not a lot of guys who are 6-4 and as tough to move as Joe. He's a big guy who really protects that puck, and he's tough to get off of it. He's a skill player, so he should be a good addition.

I was checking with him the whole night. He felt good, he looked good. I kept asking him if he was good, and he was good. He's been skating for a while and he's been in practices for a while. If I thought that he was in an awkward position, I would have cut it back.

Ultimately, it's about production on the ice. But what's been so great about Marty is he has a great, workmanlike mentality. He's very professional. He wants to play, he'd play all the games if he could.

We have no choice in it. It is what it is. It's frustrating because we've had a lot of good players that aren't available to us. I guess it says a lot about our team that we're still in the position we're in. Still, you'd rather have everybody healthy.

Trust me, it's not the ultimate goal.

As the game went on, he got more focused and he got stronger. Marty seems to have done that all year long. Where some goals have gone in early, not necessarily his fault, in the end, he's always there to make the saves that we need.
