I thought we had won, because I'm an idiot and didn't read the rules of the game. Captain Nicklaus told me on 15 there were no ties. Still didn't get it.

Captain Nicklaus said there were no halves, but I didn't quite grasp what he meant by that on 15. It was fine. It turned out just great.

I certainly can't get it there in two, so I'm going to play it as a three-shotter. That's a very tough hole, and guys can have a lot of problems if you miss the fairway there.

I'm sorry and empathetic for what happened.

I've gained a lot of respect for him this week, and not only as a player. Let me tell you a story: I played the front nine today in four over, and on the 10th tee he came up to me kind of shyly and asked, 'Do you mind if I say something?' I said go right ahead. He said, 'C'mon, let's go have some fun on the back side.' I thought that was pretty cool.

Coming back brings back memories of a major championship. Coming here in 2011 is exciting for us. Everyone is excited to be here, and it does feel like a major.

It's a very fair test, but I can't imagine what guys had done in the wind.

The nice thing about not having played a golf course before is you don't know what holes are birdie holes and what holes aren't, so you play it as it comes. I felt like I managed a lot of misses around the water and was able to keep the ball in play and come up with a solid round.

We're going to play together more often - not every tournament, though. We'll have probably three or four more tournaments ... where the top guys will all play. But wouldn't it be great if we had 20 events where everybody played together? It would be cool.

I don't think players should be involved in the tour. I don't think we should have any say. I think it should be just like it happened. I think the commissioner should run the tour just like he did.

He's a brilliant individual and he's one of the guys that I respect the most, because of a lot of the decisions and ideas he has. I know that we somewhat stole the idea to make the World Golf Championships. So there you go. It must have been a pretty good idea.

I see both sides. There are ways to create a lot more revenue, but there's also the appeal of having it be a true municipal course that you don't want to lose sight of either.

I think Torrey Pines South is the hardest golf course I've ever played day in and day out.

Those last three or four weeks, I really had to fight myself not to play.
