I thought Ashton (Spence) did a great job today. We were fired up and excited, but luckily we weren't too over the top and were able to stay focused.

She's one of those players who steps up to the plate and you can just see in her face that she's saying, 'I'm going to hit it by you, around you, over you, and you're not going to get me out. She can hit the home runs, she can bunt to get on, she's fast and she's very smart. She's just got that softball edge.

She's a big force for Midland Lee. We knew coming in that we would have to be better than she was, and that's a tough thing to do. She's a good hitter, she's a good pitcher, and she did her job today.

I really thought we did a good job of hanging in there and holding them. We just kept talking about trying to win each inning, playing an inning at a time, and it is tough when you're down four. But we just kept fighting.

I thought she did a great job. She's been on a roll here lately, and I thought we were a little anxious chopping at the first pitch.

She has a great drop ball. She's a really good pitcher, and it's just about keeping our head in there and trying not to do it all at once.

She hasn't pitched in almost two weeks, so I really wanted to give her some innings out there, and I think she did a good job. One play here or there, and she's still in it.

She was solid for us. She and (catcher) Emily Dixon are a great pair. She did a good job hitting her spots and playing right to our defense.

It was a good battle. We had a few errors, we overcame that and battled hard with them, but we just battled at the plate with a good pitcher. We had people on base every inning but the third. We had some opportunities, but we just couldn't pull it out.

Megan had a big game. She had two big shots, and she really needed them.

It's a big boost for us, especially to come from behind and to win on a big shot like that.

We got some gifts. You don't expect Perm-ian to make mistakes, and you have to take advantage of them if you get them. I thought that Ashton did well, and she and (catcher) Emily Dixon communicated very well.

It was an exciting finish to a tough battle all day.

We were patient at the plate. We had several hitters with multiple hits.
